When Stephen King's "Salem's Lot" came out way way back when, I was reading it at my parent's kitchen table. I was very immersed in the book, freaking out and nobody else was home for some reason as I recall. It was about 10:00pm and all the lights in the house were off except the one over the kitchen table where I was reading.

Suddenly there was a banging at the screen door! I think I must have jumped a foot out of my chair! It was my friend Ralph from around the block who had come by to see if I wanted to take a walk with him, and get high lol.

My nerves were so jangled that I actually said no! The thought of walking around the neighborhood, in the dark, stoned was more frightening that sitting alone in the house with that book at that point

So, I'm pretty much a wimp too Claire

I still get nightmares way to easy from watching spooky stuff!

Next time call me,I'll take the walk for you!

same here Elora just substitute the Book "It" by the same author. i was in my apt. lights out only one on was the lamp near my bed...well you can figure out the rest. LOL

Well, I'm trying to picture it but it just does not do it for me ....

besides, doctors just want me to quit eating bacon

My last blood work showed tri-glycerides at 1200. If I cut out the bacon it may slip below 1000 and i just can't have that
