Oh, this is used in Gor? Didn't know.I've heard "this one" used in Gorean settings, but I don't know whether it's universal or not. There doesn't seem to be a lot of consensus in the Gorean builds  .Like I said - in context I have no problem at all. Out of context, when you are just trying to have a conversation with someone it's frustrating. You just want them to drop the whole thing and talk to you on equal ground. _____________________

True.. OK sans the shoulder pain. No doubt - I think it's getting worse! I can't sit at my desk unless I drop my chin to my chest and look at the computer screen out of the top of my eyes. I tried some stretching exercises that someone here at work suggested and that did nothing. _____________________

I tried some stretching exercises that someone here at work suggested and that did nothing. Oh be careful on stretching. If you have a pulled muscle that could further inflame it. You may need to get checked with it being bad enough that you have to rest your chin on your chest. Could even be a pinched nerve. _____________________

It certainly used to be when I was there. Things might have changed for all I know. Used to be a misconception that people thought the books wanted slaves to speak like that always. In fact it was used for punishment mainly, though obviously if a Master wished it for any reason then it also had to be used. It was considered uncommon generally.

'This one' is mostly seen in Gor in SL, but simply because it's a reduction of personality further.
In general, it's just another 'layer' of submission, essentially giving up your identity for your Owner. I ask because I truly don't know how much effect this 'training' of sorts will have on me, and I may automatically start doing it here. I'm already surprisingly automatic with it in world and on the phone, and may end up doing it here. If I do, I'd like it known that it's because it's automatic, not because I'm guarding my speech or trying to annoy. _____________________

If you can't get to a masseuse, can you get to a "Relax the Back" store? I bought a great product at one called the Backnobber, it allows you to massage pressure points in your OWN back, great for the sort of painful crick you describe. I bought it years ago, they still carry it. A quick google reveals it's now the "Backnobber II", and is available online everywhere. It looks big, but disassembles quickly down into nothing. Good luck! . |

Sounds good - I don't think I can get to a masseuse, and the nearest Relax the back Store that I know of is about an hour north of me, but maybe I can find something like that locally. A massage sounds great - I'll see what I can do on that front this week. I'd like to do something before this gets totally out of control.

I tried to read back to see what is going on with you, but can't find it. I don't know if anyone has suggested this but you might want to ice it. If you can stand it, but it directly on your skin. Leave it there until you scream and put your fist threw the wall. That should take about 5 minutes if you have it applied right then leave it on for 10 minutes more, for a total of 15 minutes. That freezes the spot and when you take it off it starts to thaw out it brings fresh oxygen to the spot.... I used to do this on my neck three times a day. You should see my wall. Did you pull a muscle or have a knot in one? _____________________
