Lovely pics all around... Rhonda... Lexxi... :)

Thanks :)

Lexxi, this is one of the most beautiful skin / shapes from you yet. It's very exotic. Is this a new avatar or one you pulled out of storage?

Thanks :)

The shape is newish in terms of I just switched to it relatively recently. I don't recall when I did though. Maybe a few months. I've had the shape for a long time, though. I don't actually recall when I got the shape. I think I pulled it from Sonia. And it is conceivable, slightly, very slightly, that I at least modded it. The skin is brand new. Picked up at the skin fair.

Pulling everything else in pic - hair is new also: got it this weekend at the Truth sale. Eyes are new, I think I got them at the skin fair from a gift bag. Umbrella is the prop at Art Box. collar/cuffs, not new.

I will note that I could not have taken that picture before a certain date which I do not now, maybe Friday, and I can't take it now. I took the picture at Deadend City. They are moving sim and they did a little moving sim theme where they flooded parts of the sim. behind me you can see the rushing water. I am not certain, now, but I might actually be underwater in the picture, standing on land that used to be above water, and the rushing water in the background could be the water near the pier, which is also now, or was, underwater. I believe that sim move theme ended today.

But but...Just trying to understand here. This sentence "No-one in the NFL is as aggressive as the LA Raiders" might not be true but it doesn't contradict itself. Since the Raiders moved back to Oakland it is possible that no team in the current NFL is as aggressive as the Raiders were when they were in L.A.

But I thought you said before that no one on the forums are as (something-or-other) as the pairing of A and person B. I was thinking that person A and person B are still a pair and are still on the forums. So that makes me believe that two people on the forums are EXACTLY as (something-or-other) as A and B. ie A and B themselves.

To use another NFL example: "No one ELSE in the NFL is as aggressive as the Oakland Raiders," would seem to make sense.

"No-one in the NFL is as aggressive as the Oakland Raiders," would seem to be NON sense.
There are all sorts of ways in which the sentence could be interpreted, depending upon the context of the sentence. You are choosing to do so in one way, but it does not invalidate my use of the "none" ... "is" ... "those" construction which Eli originally erroneously attempted to correct, which 3Ring made a fool of herself in pursuing, and to which you are now redundantly raising irrelevant objections.

Pep (Why didn't you bring in a red herring about collective nouns as well, while you were at it?)

I'm thinking I should update the dances in my Huddles and was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy these dances. They look quite realistic so they are probably mo-cap dances.

I must admit when I first read, "there is none so blind as those who do not see," it didn't seem quite consistent to me. But your excellent explanations cleared up the "is" "those" thing very well.

"There is no one person who is so blind as those people who will not see." In this sentence I see no choice but to assume that the "no one person" being compared to the people in the group who "will not see" is not part of that group.

But I don't understand how something like this sentence can be not contradicting itself: "There is no one on the forums like Pep"
Surely these are accepted facts:
1. Pep is like Pep
2. Pep is on the forums.
3. Pep is not no one.
It wouldn't make sense to imply that any of them are false, would it?

I don't know anything about buying SL dances although I kind of wish I would get up the energy to find out and get some decent ones for myself.

But thanks for the link to the video, Josh. I love it that the one guy danced at the bus stop every morning and the other guy secretly caught him on video over 18 months and then edited it together with the right music. I hope the dancer sees it and finds out he's famous.

Hi everybuggy! Hope ya'll had a super weekend!

Mine this weekend was... quiet. The last few have been super busy, so this one was a bit more downtime-y. Also, I spended the time building a building too.

You see I recently ended up with ah third parcel in Bay City. It was the last in the block with mine, an the folks decided to sell it at a good price. Also, a friend spotted me the L$ for it. Well, a forum regular had expressed interest in the plot, but I think this is on hold -- so I decided to build an might end up makin it a rental if I can find a good retro/vintage store or good clothing/accessory place that wants to rent an be in the city.

Anyway, as Bay City is all mid-century/deco city stuff, i decided to once again crack into the style. Here's the result:

I'm still doing a couple other small touches, like a fire escape on the back. Makes for a nice addition to the block.

I also did a change to my main store's sign, making some fancy sculpts an scripting up some chase lights. It looks better in action, but you can get the idea. Oh ya, an that's my sister an brother in this piccie, too:

In other stuff... AM Radio is closin another sim, an a whole lotta people piled on. I hadda get a shot of the crowd! So... here they are!

At Kid Scouts, we were decorating punkins. A little late, but because the our troop leader was out ill the last couple cuz of tooth troubles. Anyway, oe of the punkins turned out to be against the makin of punkin pies, so a number of other punkins counter protested, an myine counter counter protested, an well, it was silly. Guess you hadda be there. but here's a piccie, too:

An one more shot, which I actually took last week. This is in IBM 2, an made by Madcow Cosmos and Lorin Tone. The one thing you can't tell in the piccie is how big this is. I'm the speck between a couple of the strings to the left. This is totally some must see stuff, I think:

An that's about it! Like I said, kinda quiet weekend. Hope you all have a super week to come!

Ministry of Motion has some good Michael Jackson dances -- but what a fun YouTube!

made by Madcow Cosmos and Lorin Tone.

hey! Lorin Tone is great! not just as a sound scripter, but as a person, too. i'd popped by one night in an alt just to add his place to my picks section and he wound up giving me a great tour of the next door "adventure" that he and Madcow had put together.

I agree! I met Lorin some time ago, an he an I have been friends now for a while. He's why I have a working blurtophone again, amongst other fun stuff. :-D

I would certainly miss them. I think I get more vicariously from your reports and pictures than from what I do myself in SL some weeks. I admire and enjoy you very much.

Point 3 must be wrong as my kids call me "No-one"

Pep (Because "No-one is perfect".)

PS Actually you explained it yourself in an earlier post. The word "else" is assumed; people tend to leave a lot of assumed words out in English. For instance, in one of my earlier posts it would have made huge sense if I had said something like, in full, "No-one is as aggressive in the (current teams in the) NFL as those LA Raiders (of the 1980s.)"

Holy crap. I just checked out the Second Citizen forums for the first time, and they make these forums look like sweetness and angel farts.

The first two threads I saw were a thread in which a certain person ranting that all child avatars are criminal perverts (again), and a thread about gay marriage in which posters were telling each other "**** off" and "Shut up, fag."

oh dear. is it turning into SLU? or are they not ganging up? :(
