Don't shoot me for this please. I'm in a photo contest (aka popularity contest). Free to cast a vote, but I'd really like to win this one and it's also being called the Battle of the Bloggers because 4 out of the 11 entrants are bloggers, so I'd *really* like to win this one. You can vote daily until the 30th, one time a day. If you're so inclined, I'd really really really appreciate it :)

TP in, and then walk into the store, turn left at the top of the small entry stairs, and go through the white doorway and turn left again. And my picture can be found on the second page, top row, center.

@ 3Ring - Late to the congratulations, but so happy for you nonetheless! I remember all the things you said about the old job and how unhappy you were there. This sounds like an incredible opportunity upward for you and I know you'll do great!

Another trophy to add to your growing collection!

Hey you:) Been trying to stay away from the computer. Having vision problems and strange seizures and they can't figure out why. I imagine it has something to do with flashing lights in Wow....though it is happening even when away from computer for long time. So who knows. Been having all kinds of test done etc... And of course not knowing is causing me anxiety,so I spend most of my time holed up in my bed.:/

For some reason, I had a feeling it may be health related :( That sounds like a very frightening thing to go through Rio. *massive hugs* I hope they get that straightened out quickly. As we've been commiserating the past couple of days with Spike and in the past in general, laying in bed with any kind of head injury/situation is a misery nobody should ever have to experience - let alone with seizures added in. I can't even pretend to understand that aspect of it.

Write me if you can manage to and want to, you know i'm always here to listen :)

That doesn't sound good. Have you gotten checked out by a doctor about this?

Been poked and prodded almost every day this week and not in the good way:p I've had a cat scan,MRI, blood test for heart enzymes, ekg's all kinds of blood tests.(They initially thought it might have been stroke or heart related) Everything has come back fine. Went to the ophthalmologist as well, he couldn't find anything wrong either. I have an appointment next week with a neurologist.

Happy Sat/Sun Threadites.

Welcome to the mayhem Dances. It will be a pleasure adding you to our sometimes dysfunctional family, like in all families, there are crazy relatives and skeletons in the closet. As a bonus, this one even has zombies!

Rio! A pleasure to see you! Do keep us posted, hang on in there. Spike, yay! glad u r on your way back to being among us. Konu or Duncan or whoever you are today - dude - they can do wonders for dissociative behavior nowadays - not need for split personalities :p. HB - I will go cast my vote for the loveliest model/blogger/businesswoman etc in SL :)

Rock on peeps - my world is calling :D.

doesn't have to be a seed shell.... just that your symptoms sound vaguely familiar to a friends similar dilemma. he had that seed shell in his gums, and didn't know it. after a few days, it got infected and he had all the same things you are describing, except at one point they accelerated rather quickly, and he had a seizure and fell off a roof (contractor). it took them 2 days to figure out what was wrong, and by then he had already had some brain damage. :(

any head infections go right to the brain.

Interesting. One of my dentists, a specialist is always admonishing me about eating popcorn lol. As *if* I'll ever stop :p

Once I had a small piece of the kernal lodge underneath the gumline and well, won't go into details but it wasn't pleasant. Infection didn't go into my brain, but it was BAD. I'd think an infection would have to be left alone for a heck of a long time for that to happen plus the pain would be excrutiating by then!. But I can see how it's possible. Everything is sort of connected there; sinuses, ears, throat, and upwards. So many pathways.

Seeing a neurologist IS the best thing at this point tho. I think that's the right path. They are trained to be able to pick up on other possible causes other than neurological ones as well.

the friend did have pain and swelling, just didn't know why and even that anything was stuck there. i think it had been a week or less before it went from redness and minor swelling to major infection. it happened rather quickly.

(edit: the symptoms appeared in that week. i don't think anyone knows how long the seed shell was stuck before any of that)

/me approaches wildly overgrown thread with the sort of curiosity and trepidation reserved for big red irresistibly labeled "Do Not Touch" buttons. ...
A wonderful laugh to wake to.

Welcome to our craziness.

If it has not been mentioned yet, just have a seat and Brenda will be along shortly to duct tape you to the chair. Though, we do also offer silk ties, leather straps, or chains - if you prefer.
