From: Jerboa Haystack Oh he was good at that role...but I thought he came across a little like Beetlejuice... For truly odd casting...how did Keanu Reeves manage to score the role of Don John in Much Ado About Nothing? I thought he was well casted for that role. Just enough emotionless pallor to carry the day

From: Ghosty Kips !!!!!!!!!!!!! BORING!? Obviously, YOU have not seen Michael Keaton in Much Ado About Nothing! /sulks Compared to a Jim Carrey imitation, almost everything is boring. I cannot even think of him without splitting my sides.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Matrix movies, Keanu's acting aside. It will be many years before we see Eastern philosophies brought to the silver screen in such logical progression. What a shame most people just didn't get it after the first installment.

From: Ghosty Kips I thought he was well casted for that role. Just enough emotionless pallor to carry the day I tend to agree. Plus, this movie was the one that made me finally understand Shakespeare. I always was into literature, however, for some reason never delved into Shakespeare. It wasn't required reading in my school which was a shame. I never attempted to pick it up on my own and until I saw "Much Ado About Nothing", didn't quite get the language. That film put it into complete perspective for me, the actors spoke the language SO well and it all suddenly made perfect sense to me. Didn't hurt that the film was lush and gorgeous and all the people in it were so attractive, particularly the guys in their tight pants

There are few writers that can carry that off, and few really we can even compare. I have read H.G Wells and I have read Jules Verne- HG Wells was still relevant and fresh - Verne, not so much.

It's good to remember that Shakespeare's plays are just that - plays. They were never really meant to be read, but to be performed and enjoyed, as much as reading them is so important to understanding the nuance of meaning at the time they were written. There is a big difference between watching and enjoying Hamlet, and understanding what the ghost actually was in terms of guilt and succession to the throne.

I got told to google 'useless super powers' so I did....found this: http://community.livejournal.com/unsuper_powersMy fave has to be: From: someone Lord Tunnel Effekt has a certain probability to tunnel through a wall that is exponentially decreasing with the thickness of the wall.
At 1cm thickness the probability is 99% of a succesful tunneling. At 1m thickness it is 1%.
Since Lord Tunnel Effekt is vulnerable he uses his powers only in extreme emergencies and preferably only with very thin walls.
Edit: This works only once per wall and is limited to wood and concrete. LOL or: From: someone Derek Biggins can identify if any animal larger than a wombat is wearing corduroy trousers merely by hearing the creature walk.

My mother was an English Lit. teacher.
I used to steal her Shakespeare records, sneak down to our basement, and listen to them on our "portable" player, script in my lap as the record played.
Scary stuff there...I was such a delinquent!

Hahaha ... back in the days when friends and I played Marvel Heroes, we had coined a term for useless super powers as "spot power": the ability to create a smallish purple spot on any surface. I think someone spilt grape juice during a game session or something.

LOL, my favorite (although most were amusing) was; Bored-o-man is bored most of the time and still manages to be supreme. Bored-o-man ist most likely to get very drunk or smash his head into random objects just out of boredom.
