You are welcome to come to our house for Christmas. We are not celebrating (see my prior post last night) :)

I wish. If it wasn't for my kids I wouldn't even acknowledge it. Blah stupid holiday. I am having the hardest time trying to find toys they want online. Now I have to actually get off my ass and go to the mall. I'm scared.:o

Here is a song for people to listen to: http://www.thesixtyone.com/TheGrammarClub/#/TheGrammarClub/collection/. I can't link it directly. It is "My Gay Shirt" that I am pointing towards. Um, the song is called that.

Good day everyone!

Special announcements:

The ice storm knocked out power at work. Came home after a few hours to no heat. The furnace wouldn't turn on.

My oil company came right out and fixed a broken fan control circuit.

hey Gang!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Metro Models along with my shop are hosting the second annual SHINE charity fundraiser... all proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres)... two fashion shows (for different sides of the globe) will be held saturday and sunday at Metro Models. Several of our wonderful threadites will be featured in the silent auction for one-of-a-kind items! I'm going to send out a Group Notice to both the Forum Cartel and the Keepers of The Thread, to include an LM.

I know that this is technically an advertisement, but 100% of the proceeds go to DWF (MSF) and it'd be great to see everyone out at such a great cause!

Please note that the dates have changed by 24 hours... the first showing will be on SATURDAY and the second will be on SUNDAY

Well, I really needed this advertisting! :D

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

OK- I don't know if it's true or not about Sarah Palin's wardrobe -but please, do any of you really know anyone, man or woman that short of homeless really wears shoes that worn out? Trust me- I am not making the kind of bux to even breathe Neiman Marcus air and my shoes mostly come from PayLess - but I do not own one pair with holes in them. And neither do my kid or husband and they are guys- meaning you practically have to drag them kicking and screaming to buy clothes and shoes... so- to me the pic screams set-up whether Palin's clothes thing was true or not.

Yes. Me for one. Once I get a good pair of shoes broken in and comfortible I will wear them until my wife has a fit because I start wearing holes through my socks.

I'm gonna go with the theory that Obama wasn't aware how old those shoes were. Only that they were comfy and broken in(typical male). I'm sure if he knew a photograph would be taken, His PR, and or image consultant would have had him in a pair of whatever is the hottest men's shoe out there.

As for Palin's makeover?: http://www.hulu.com/watch/40421/msnbc-decision-08-extreme-makeover-sarah-palin-edition

Put me down for the same as Yosef.

Breaking them in is *the* worst thing, so once it is done we hang on to them as long as we possibly can.

I'm more likely to believe the picture is staged. Those are are either someone else's shoes or the holes were photoshopped in afterwards.

Could be, but we also(well should say I) don't know at what stage that photo was taken during His campaign. Staged or not, He just doesn't strike me as a guy who really cares about fashion. just what's comfortable.

Ya, I can agree with that.

I am a conservative and usually vote republican, but I do hope he can deliver and be the new JFK he is supposed to be. And even tho I am not a religious man, I pray that he is given the wisdom he needs for the office. Now is not a good time for ANYONE to be stepping into that position. Whether we voted for him or not he will be our president and he needs our support if we all are going to pull ourselves out of this crisis or risk falling farther into war and economic ruin.
