From: LittleMe Jewell I avoid most fried foods so have never had a deep fried turkey. Hubby stays up all night tending ours on the smoker -- comes out melt in your mouth, fall of the bones, moist. hmmm Love smoked foods. But unfortunately if you were staying away from deep fired turkey instead of smoked turkey because of trying to make healthy choices, then you have it backwards. Deep frying the turkey in peanut oil actually seals out the oil and there have been a number of articles calling into question the safety of eating a lot of smoked foods due to the carcinogens in the smoke.

OK.. I am full but let me see if there is still some room.. Happy rest of Turkey Day folks. I spent time munching and teaching my 70 + father how to post a blog. I figure after about 30 emails and me logging into his blog to fix stuff a few times a day for a month he just might be able to fly solo. In the meantime I will be over here in the corner going insane and banging my head against the wall while explaining where to push publish on Windows Live Writer for him. Pep.. that was quite a spread!! Thank you.

No, I stay away from fried foods just because they tend to upset my stomach. Once in a while I give in and have french fries - and usually suffer for it.

So, who watched the Macy's parade? I think this year's parade featured the most awesome entry ever. Watch this. No, seriously...watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXJnOjAGR24

Fortunately I talked him into starting with a computer in his office instead of me being called out every few days for the first couple of months. First day went like this: /me"OK left click on the link there to open that page" /boss "How do I left click?" and then of course "What is a link?" Unfortunately friends and family recognize that I have at least some expertise with computers and now I am forced to bring my computer medipac on a 4 gig SD card where ever I go. Hijack This, Avira, AVG, Spybot SD, Crap Cleaner etc. It sucks, I just want to relax and chat

From: Jesse Barnett Two hours of forum prime time here without a post to this thread hopefully means everyone is having a wonderful feast. To everyone not in the US: Happy Thursday! I have never met a turkey I did not love. Anyone ever tried a turducken? Heavenly! Deep fried turkey? Melts in your mouth and sooooo moist! Moisture and turkey usually don't go hand in hand without at least some mechanical assistance. Have tried so many variations over the years and have settled on using an injector the last few. This year I decided to embrace old school. I rubbed oil on the outside and spiced with sea salt and fresh ground lemon & tellicherry pepper. Yes, the turkey was on the dry side but OMG it was wonderful and I received glowing reviews from both my puppy dog and my daughter when she came back home. First time I can remember when I even left the gravy off the turkey. After fours trips back to grab another slice or two over a period of 5 hours and I can confidently say I am still supremely satisfied. Sliced thin with just a dash more salt and pepper. Woohoo. Here is hoping everyone is having a relaxing stress free evening. Marianne, I had you in my thoughts when I said thanks. LOVE turkey in all its forms. LOVE fried turkey; very moist and they take much less time to make. Never had a turducken, but I hear they are yummy. Your turkey sounds delicious...and that's even after I am completely full of really good/tender turkey!!

Good morning, threadies! I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and that the U.S.-types enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. To all those among us who serve as computer wizards/doctors to their kith and kin: thank you. I hope we don't drive you too crazy...all the time. Stuffed today...so light breakfast: Let me know if there are other heartier needs out there...

I was up early but I didn't want to make a noise and disturb you late risers who had over-indulged, so rather than make breakfast I ate out. Pep (Know that place?) PS More to the point, does anybody know the girls in the pic, or their phone numbers?

I will note, though, that I am slightly confused as I recognize the scene from an already aired episode of Entourage. Sonia broke into SL and started rampaging, setting cars on fire. Here we see Sonia sitting on a recently set on fire car:
