:(

That sounds familiar. Six giant maples does not a clean yard make.

Between the leaves, and the branches that have chosen my car as a traget no matter where I put it, I'm becoming a hater of trees. Damn You Joyce Kilmer! He was from Jersey as well. *shakes both fists*

I had my tree service guy come over and give me an estimate as to what to take down.
$975. I am tempted to just have him cut the whole thing down.

Ahem, it would be cheaper to hire someone to clear the leaves in the fall...

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

You can have some of mine. I have too many. I spent al last weekend raking and bagging, I filled up 50 of those big paper leaf bags. The entire place is covered again. *shakes fist*
lawn mower w/ mulcher blade - then rake a bit of the mulched up stuff and toss it on the ground around your flowers and trees, leave the rest for the yard to digest.

The tree needs to be cut back no matter what, that I can't avoid. There is one that is looming ominously over my house and my bedroom, which is a converted attic. I've had enough hunks of dead wood in my bed to last a lifetime.. :p

I had a college kid who was studying landscaping do my yard cleanups but he moved away, and there are no enterpriseing kids in this neighborhood. Getting my driveway cleaned when it snows is a major accomplishment.

Cheap drunk!

Considering I don't drink, that would probably be true.

I had to. My entire property was ankle deep in the things. I have a mulching mower, but there are still too many. I don't mind the raking so much, but the bagging is a pain, literally. The town next door has a vaccuum truck, so all they have to do is pile the leaves at the curb.

/me loves the vacuum truck that comes through my neighborhood once in October, and once in November...and they put out a schedule, and everything...
