Muchos kudos to the Linden who actually looked at it :) I'm not saying who, but it was signed.

Ty, Innula. I've no doubt that your research was a huge influence on the result. I quoted Blondin's two statements and included the URLs to where they can be seen.

Great! I'm really happy for you, Phil, and for the fact that Lindens still have some common sense.

Fabulous!!
Congrats Phil ;)

and as a side note this is a good sign that at least some of the info Blondin was saying is/was accurate.

Thank you, folks :)

That's true, Kira. We can take it that Blondin was spot on.

Thank you spinster.

And thank you to everyone in this thread who voiced support. It was really appreciated. When I started the thread, I wondered if I'd get posts like, "Yeah but they're bots - ban 'em all!" :)

Nah, most of us can agree that a bot not used to game traffic but to add to the functionality of a store is a good thing.

It's great news, Phil! I'm also glad and kind of relieved that LL will stick to the word of one of it's own. THAT is what is needed to build resident trust.

Congrats Phil :)

and thank you for giving me the confirmation I needed to be able to consider relocating back to mature.

I'm still going to wait until they unleash their latest "cunning" plan before I make the call though as I have absolutely no faith that whatever they've got in mind will work without severe angst to everyone else.

It's nice to know I can put the sex bits back on mature though even if the rope has to stay behind.

more like the pigs are set for take off but we can do bovine references first. This is a stunning moment that requires as many idioms as we can think of.

don't worry, it's unlikely to ever happen again (I don't know when the next month of Sundays is due ;) ) and I suspect it will all change again when they bring their cunning plan in.

I was at the match this afternoon and saw a penalty given and I still have no idea what it was for, I'll have to watch Match of the Day to find out.

it's Saturday night here - I never claimed to be as sharp as a tack on a Saturday night :)

I think we might need to ignore Ciaran though. I think he's barking up the wrong tree with that comment of his.

I think that "penalty" is the operative word.

Ciaran:
If you had your radio (R5Live) on while you were there, they'd probably have told you what it was for :) It sounds like it might have been the Man City game. I'll be watching too.

Thank you again everyone for the support.

Pip (I start a genuine bots thread and I *still* can't get into a good argument :) )

hehe. That was my first thought when it happened - it was the very next day that I got the notification - but anyone that way minded and who read it could have ARed me. But you know me (maybe) - someone writes a snotty post at me and I often write a snotty reply, as in that case :D

When I got up today, I found that the bed demo models were logged out, but the other 2 in the store (cuddle demos) were still there, and I wondered if we were starting all over again. But I got no email, and I'm not suspended, so I guess it was just coincidence that those particular bots were logged out.

I modified the demo beds so that no animation could play for more than 30 seconds, to prevent people from using the bots for sex purposes.

Now there's a just plain unsettling notion.

lol - no chance for anyone on one of those beds to "settle" into anything :)

But, if you mean the other thing, yes, people occasionally did use them for sex, even IMing the single female one, trying to get her to take her undies off (that was before the adult policy, when they all wore undies). I put signs up but I can't make people read them.
