A brilliant idea - except for one thing. It's preferable if no emoting goes on, and I doubt that you could do it that way :p

I can go on IM. So can he.

Bot bumping begets ban... who would have thought?

How come I never seem to have your troubles, Phil?

But you can always have the subtle victory. Redesign your store as a sort of suggestive tower or something and just claim it's architecture...

The next day I got the reply. It said that, after checking the circumstaces, the suspension was justified. What suspension? In other words, the guy who dealt with my ticket just answered it without checking anything. He didn't even mention the 'offense'. He (or something) was on auto-pilot. So what's the point in submitting an appeal in the form of a ticket? I think I'll phone my appeal today :)

I love the insight into the appeal process. As fraudulent as I would expect from Linden Lab.

What is this "volunteering" stuff? Lindal and Jig's Camp Followers is a business, pal. No payee, no fickey-fick, sailorboy. Capische? Comprenez-vous? You dig me, man?

You should be paying US to grace your store with our presence and up your traffic count in a legal, non-bottish sort of way.

It sounds like Jig is branching out on her own, Lindal - and she hasn't mentioned money at all. In fact, she doesn't have to pay me anything for the pleasure.

It depends on the infraction. Illegal use of the hands is a popular one.

Whatever the penalties are for, I'll take 'em.

Blondin Linden's recent comments on the subject:
From: someone
[11:42] Blondin Linden: Advertising or hosting adult content needs to be on Adult Land, whether here in ZIndra or on a Private region flagged Adult. COntent like a sex bed or sex animations, nude skins, bdsm silks or furs, toys of the such can all be SOLD on Mature as long as they arent using Adult key words in the ads/classifieds/parcel descriptions
[...]
[11:44] Blondin Linden: you can even Demo a sex bed or annimation you intend to purchase as long as your clothed. We get that people want to test out the merch before they buy.http://www.slapt.me/wiki/index.php/Zindra_Alliance_-_Blondin_Linden_Meeting_Transcript:_18-09-2009
and again, a couple of weeks later, in direct response to complaints about stores selling sex beds on Mature land,
From: someone
[11:16] Blondin Linden: who has sex in a furniture store?
[...]
[11:17] Blondin Linden: And people are allowed to demo the goods as long as they are clothed http://www.slapt.me/wiki/index.php/Zindra_Alliance_-_Blondin_Linden_Meeting_Transcript:_21-09-2009

That's excellent, Innula. Thank you. I'll be phoning LL a few hours from now - which is another way the email said to appeal against the penalty.

Huh. The "advertising" part I remember well. I don't recall a "no working floor model" statement. How the heck can one sell a sex bed if the customer can't demo it????

Simple.

One finds oneself forced into either not selling such depraved smutcessories, or purchasing Adult land upon which to do so, having either been denied or having never realised a need to apply for the free swap in the first place.

In the meantime, Duplicitous Out Of Depth Linden will keep regurgitating nonpolicy so you think you have a leg to stand on appealing the decision.

I've noticed a creep of non-sex violations lately in SL, like the return of ad farm type sprawl. Nice to know the Lindens have their priorities straight and are spending valuable resources and time creeping into backrooms to investigate grey area issues :(

You work for LL's PR and Legal sections, don't you? :p Just kiddin'

Okay, normally, when the word, "warning" is used in that kind of email, it's just that, a warning. Next time they catch you at it, they'll do some banning, suspension or something. But it does sound like on the appeals, that the "Linden" "processing" them didn't bother to do more than just follow the script.

You know the script.. it's the same one that is used by over the email-techs. The ones that don't bother to read the actual email, but just cuts and pastes whatever seems close to what is described in the first sentence of the email. Like, say your hard drive has crashed and doesn't boot, and your CD/DVD-rom died just moments after. So, they send you the email of, "To get your computer to boot up, you'll need to put the installation CD into the drive and..."

Come to think of it... that's how LL's ticket support system seems to work too. Maybe the appeals thing is a free add on, like the flog..

I called LL but couldn't get to talk to anyone about it. It's completely the wrong area for the concierge help and he couldn't even ask someone to talk to me. So that idea didn't work but I bet the poor guy was glad when I got off the phone - he must have been feeling very sleepy by then lol

I've opened another ticket and included the Blondin statements, together with their URLs. We'll see what that produces. Any suggestions? :)

Not that kind of suggestion lol. Not a suggestion for me, but what do you suggest will result from the second ticket?
