Updated to RC 1.23 and it is NOT fixed OMG /faints the only skins that look semi ok are the Redgrave ones. I am uninstalling 1.23 RC and going back to 1.22.11

Upon further reflection, if 1.23 is released AS IS for Adult Content purposes, nobody will want to "do the sex" anyway with the skins looking so bad! lol It's a real turnoff.. what are those coders drinking? Are they too busy looking at water reflections, pretty clouds and if all the right tabs are there and not getting a full frontal view of their avatars??

They're really rushing with this 1.23 RC. There's tons of broken stuff in here--which is no criticism of the developers because there really are tons of changes. I'm just bitching about the release process: when LL has some corporate initiative (Adult Content begone!) they push everything else aside and ram the changes through. It's a pity they've sacrificed some critical stability and performance changes already in QA in order to expedite this change that practically nobody wants.

That said, from what I've heard, the make-up problem will get fixed before 1.23 gets released. Not so sure about the eyelashes. (Maybe increased demand for prim eyelashes?) They'll also just *have* to do something about the new texture caching mess, or their network will simply collapse under the load. And eventually somebody besides me is gonna try to edit the location of the newly static-by-default Linden plants; that will be fun to explain. Well, and lots more jiras (), and I'm sure many more problems yet to be discovered because this version got so little time in test before going RC.

All that is not to discourage people from testing the RC. Quite the opposite. There are substantial changes (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release_Candidate/1.23) with some substantial side-effects that folks need to discover and decide whether they can live with them.

Problem: Note the wonky tire textures. They're not rotated correctly because their rotation is set by script. Scripted transparency is also broken, so when the eyelids on that avatar close they won't re-open until I select the head. (T_T)

Does anyone get the irony of this new client? It has the newly implemented properties in order to make public sex a technically viable industry like never before. But, at the same time, it makes avatars too ugly to f*&#. (^_^)
