Got music to work once, but when I TPed it went away. What do you mean update -you mean a update for Windows? How can I get music where it will come back on & STAY!!!

MUSIC WORKING! Tried all of this numorous times, but tonight was my lucky night! I got music to work & now even when I TP it works! Hopes it keeps working! Oh, I also did the latest update also. Thanks everyone!

From: Puppet Shepherd I've been having the same problem since Saturday - doing this works for me for a little while, but if I TP away and come back, or if I try to change the radio station, the music vanishes again. I don't want to log in and out again every time I want to change to a different music stream.
I seem to have lost a few streams as well with the massive stream deaths, but this is happening even with streams that I know are still 'alive'. I just started having the same problem - including the temporary nature of the 'fix' - with both the current release and WindLight clients. It literally happened overnight, as everything was working perfectly last night. It seems to be happening to a few others I know as well, and it's annoying as hell, especially when one has gone to the trouble of finding particularly good streams to run in one's home... |

islands but i think i have done it and this is what i did after trying everything else
shut down all programs
in Windows (XP) select Start>Run and type '%APPDATA%'
should open C:\Documents and Settings\YOURPCNAME\Application Data
opened Second Life Folder (C:\Documents and Settings\YOURPCNAME\Application Data\SecondLife)
made new folder in my documents named SLBACKUP
dragged contents from C:\Documents and Settings\YOURPCNAME\Application Data\SecondLife and dropped in the backup folder for safe keeping
folder is now empty
restarted SLife and entered name/pass as usual
game starts up with every setting/preference @ default as per day one but still have all folders/home/landmarks etc
media works as it always has but took some lagging reloading stuff but worx great
just tested for about 30 mins no problems after reboot etc

redone above but took new folder contents and saved them in new folder again (SLNEW) and replaced em with all the old settings i stored originally
media/music all works as it did 3 days ago now
wierd but worked

Can't take credit for routine as i read it elsewhere with another problem and just got stuck in and downside is having to redo all settings but no hardship really takes 5 mins just gotta figure why video plays all over ground but may have always done that and i haven't noticed as i have been inside watching tv  |
