Yes they did - I didn't phrase my gripe quite correctly. The inworld notice came quite a while after they made the blog posting and after I had already had a couple of botched transactions and spent all kinds of time wondering what the heck was going on with me today.

If they are going to post a blog notice saying not to do any transactions, the inworld notice should be sent at the same time - always.

I think she was asking why they didn't send the popup when they first knew there were problems.

Well, if only that were true. No, it *isn't* fixed, and once again LL has prematurely claimed success. /me mutters and goes back to voting for more groups.

An hour is a hell of a long time between blogging that people don't do any transactions, and informing people inside. I can't see any possible excuse for that delay.

What I dislike about these times is that they 'buy one, get one free' periods for anyone who fancies using it.

Yes - exactly. I don't let LL's messups get to me very often, but when they do and I start bitching about it, I apparently also do not do a very good job of explaining my gripe.

My post in the thread was just to let off steam because I felt that LL should know better. In looking at the times, my first botched tran actually happened just before the blog posting even, so an inworld popup would not have helped me there, but the second one happened about 30-minutes after that blog posting. I was in a different sim, all things seemed to be performing well, I had not checked the forums or the blog in hours, but one botched transaction is not really enough to set off red flags and send me running to check. So, I tried to buy the second item - here the popup could have saved me.

Yes it does, but they changed the time by 6 minutes.

There's no 5:05 update entry.

Of course, the other end of this is, will they send out grid-wide notice when it's fixed, or will they leave everyone continuing to believe that it's unsafe to shop.

Well, that's comforting...they don't know whether it's fixed or not.

Neither the 4:59 update, nor the 5:05 update now exist. I agree - they don't know whether they are coming or going.

On the upside, sales seem to going through ok now - maybe I shouldn't have said that.

Their gridwide warnings are not exactly grid wide. My alt and I were both inworld at the same time, she received the warning at 4:28 (almost an hour after the blog entry timestamp) but I did not receive the warning popup. I was online from prior to the start of the problems, and for another hour after my alt received the warning, and never saw it myself.

LL is clueless regarding management and customer service. As of today's problems, they've lost this paying member.

Hey, no swearing allowed. Oh, it's at LL? OK, as you were, continue on.

As I have found several times. And LL doesn't have the common sense to address this issue. I'm sick and tired of losing my money to too many SL vendors (a.k.a. con artists).

P.T. Barnum would have loved Second Life and Linden Lab.

That could be to do with network lag, Atashi - data not reaching the viewer. My alt got it at the same time that I did.

I wonder if that one will last. Sales do seem to be working fine now.

It's definitely still broken. Search is empty for me, heh.

It still gives me "transaction stale" messages and "purchase failed; you don't have enough L$" when I'm trying to buy a L$0 demo item...
