I've been trying to buy 2 jackets inworld and everytime I pay, I get the blue window saying the transaction got stale.
Any of you is having the same issues? Because I also noticed there hasnt been sales in my store in the last 2 hours.

The same thing is going on in my shop. I seem to remember when reporting this kind of thing was fairly easy but I got quite lost and confused trying to report it just now.

Same here
![]() Tried to buy many things, but was refused. Not only did it say transaction was stale, but at one point it said "You do not have sufficient money" in my chat window. I also lost $170, but will send a notecard to the owner later on, (she doesn't speak English though). I don't care as much for the money as all the things I couldn't get today. Fortunately, I picked up Landmarks along the way as its already difficult enough finding stores through Search that one actually likes... I don't want to go thru that again! Also, my Recent tab isn't showing anything. It just says Loading... Yet the New Landmarks are in my Inventory - Phew! The only thing gone is my time and 170$L - and all the cool stuff, of course. |

Service Interruptions Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 at 3:30 PM PST by: rikalinden We are experiencing Inworld issues at this time. We are aware of problems with failed transactions, items lost, TP issues, ghost prims. Please do not attempt any transactions until further notice. http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/03/02/transactions-failure/ _____________________

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to inform a shop owner when you haven't received an item but money was taken? If it's SL's fault, should I contact SL instead? What if they don't really speak the language? What type of info would an owner prefer? Should I just copy/paste my transaction history on a card, or just include the Trans #. I kind of feel bad for her if many people will be asking at the same time. Maybe I should wait a day or two? If you are an owner of a shop, what do you recommend I do?

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to inform a shop owner when you haven't received an item but money was taken? IM if she's online, notecard with the pertinent information otherwise, or if you don't get an answer to the IM. If her English is not good, keep it simple...maybe 'Item not received' and the transaction information. If you know what her first language is, you might try Babel Fish or some other translation program. I know the translations aren't generally accurate, but it might be enough for her to figure out what you mean. If it's SL's fault, should I contact SL instead? LL won't get involved. _____________________

I would recommend people NOT shop right now.
While I am no SL scripting/business guru I was in the middle of testing some products I want to bring to market soon and I am using an ALT to test that the products are delivered the way I want them to be delivered. Earlier in the day things seemed to work okay. But now they are totally borked. After my ALT hits the "Pay" button there is a long long delay for the money to be transfered. Finally after at least 60 seconds the money is transfered, but the "money(...)" method in my script is not being called and thus the product is not being delivered to my ALT. This was working earlier in the day so it is not my script. It is SL. DO NOT BUYING THING right now people (too bad the majority of people on the grid may not be aware of this). PS: My main account (this one) is using SL Client version 1.18.5 whille my ALT (on a different computer) is using Client version 1.19.0 ... and somewhere some how SL is all borked up on me. ![]() |

Contact the seller, if you lost money and they gained it a quick trip to history transactions can confirm your payment to the seller. Most honest sellers won't have a prob making sure you get your paid for item, (refunds very unlikely for numerous reasons, though I have on special occaisions done that when appropriate).

If you are an owner of a shop, what do you recommend I do? ![]() The transaction # would be a good idea and make sure you send your message to them via a notecard and not an IM (IMs get capped). Also look at their profile to see what language it is filled in as. If it is not english, go to http://translate.google.com and translate the message there (I would send the message in english as well as what ever language they appear to use). Good luck ... |

Thank you to all who answered my questions
I will do as you suggest a little later on, (in case SL eats up my carefully worded English to Japanese translation on a notecard...)DO NOT BUYING THING right now people (too bad the majority of people on the grid may not be aware of this). Isn't it funny how easy it is to receive Yellow Pop-Ups about regions, yet no Pop-Ups for really important news like this? |

People might want to consider proceeding with caution. But after waiting a little while I tried another transaction between myself and my ALT and this time the "money(...)" method in the script was called and the product was delivered from my vendor to my ALT.

Well I assume the Grid has just been warned of these problems since I just got a popup telling me of a problem and that I should visit the blog pages. Took them long enough. I wonder how many people will lose L$ because of this mess up?

Don't feel sorry for asking for either your money back or what you paid for. It wasn't your fault it happened and who knows, maybe the money did go thru' to the shop owner. And no, don't wait to do this either do it as soon as it happens. It's good to send a copy of the transaction receipt as well as a message of what happened although with some shopowners it doesn't matter as you won't get any response anyway. |

Why is the freakin hell does LL not send one of those little pop up messages when these things happen. I check the blog a few times each day and always notice the top few entries when logging in, but dammit if I am already logged on and one of these type of issues comes up, they should have enough freakin courtesy to pop up some sort of inworld message. I sure as heck don't sit here with the blog page opened and continuously refreshing. Instead, I don't go check the forums or the blog until I lose some money in two different shops.
/me wanders away muttering and swearing about LL again. ![]() _____________________

LL did send out a grid-wide popup, LittleMe.
Some transactions are working correctly, and other are not. Sometimes the money comes through, and sometimes it doesn't. The grid-wide notice seems to have been effective. I'm standing in my shop in case of any problems (and I've dealt with some), but very few people are coming just now. _____________________

That's true. It was an hour later, but some time before LittleMe posted.
