I just went to go look at some garden and all of the sudden I see this string of chat pop up saying the most horrible things. On closer look,it was me shouting them, but it wasn't me. I'd post it here, but I don't want to get in trouble. Is that sim owner going to think it really was me saying those things???? Also something is wanting to animate my avatar.I keep saying no,but the blue box won't go away. I tp'd home as fast as I could. What should I do? Am I going to get an abuse report against me even though I didn't do anything? If anyone wants to see the chat,I'll IM it to you.

Yep - I've just posted about this abuse on another thread - it is very difficult to find out who is doing it. I had to logout to get rid of the "can I animate your avatar" message.

A scripted object changed it's name to your avatar name and then emitted chat text. The chat text was the color that object chat is on your screen.
Restart SL to make the blue box go away.

From: Rioko Bamaisin So do I have anything to worry about? Shouldn't think so - well not in connection with your OP anyway! The idiots who do these things are a cursed nuisance - probably underage - it just a schoolboy mentality. (If I see a spider today, I shall.... get someone else to put it outside.)

(If I see a spider today, I shall.... get someone else to put it outside.) We have a catch and release policy in my home for spiders. It's why I still keep some cassette cartridges in the house...they make nifty spider scoopers.

My husband refuses to even remove the spiders. He says they kill other bugs. I say what other bugs? They are the only bugs here! And of course he says....see they are doing their job.:/ Butthead.

If the spider is big enough for me to be able to make out its legs without my glasses on- it gets squished. My husband is scared of spiders so I do my part to eradicate the household menace and let him sleep in peace.
"But if you let them out... they'll just breed and come back with THOUSANDS of their children."
I could argue with his logic, but it's easier to just kill them before he starts freaking out.

I'm beginning to feel a bit queasy with all this talk of spiders. This time of year is the worst for spiders and crane flies (named daddylonglegs in my childhood) shudders.
I would never harm any other creatures but the above are sucked up by the vacuum cleaner (sorry to spider lovers) which is kept by my desk lol.

They just breed and come back later in the thousands as griefers. We gently put them on a piece of paper and put them outside. Now if you would like to get rid of your spiders in a safe way, get rid of all of those dang ants that creep into your house when you are least expecting them and head straight for your pet food bowls.. Yep that really works get rid of the ants and the spiders will move to the neighbors house. Now the ants I am not going to pick up and carry outside because they are the worst of griefers, I just right click on them, eject and then put "ants" in my ban list.

I have a simple rule regarding insects. They have the whole of outdoors to play in. If you enter my home you are a trespasser. The penalty for trespassing is death.
