Some of us do get up to this sort of thing in the right areas of SL, however in the main populace you need cooperation from your victim, LL has ensured this, damn them...however there are darker places where permission is implicit upon entry, places where most people would shiver to walk, and right there lurking in the darkness is where my kind waits and we await hungrily.
I have done my fair share of feeding from rats and gutter snipes. Believe me when I say though that seduction is one of the vampire's most awesome weapons. It is not just a romantic notion but a subtlety employed by the most skillful. The masquerade would not be possible without the art of seduction, to pass amongst them, to lure them, to have them lower their defenses against us, we must at times be like them.
There is a time to earn trusts and lower or misdirect suspicions and then is a time to hunt savagely. The hunt is what most of us live for and the hunt has many forms. Whilst being comfortably wined and dined is a pleasant diversion, to chase and hunt for your terrified prey through dingy side streets and dissmally lit urban squallor is exhillarating beyond belief and there is nothing quite like it. However to kill your prey is stupid beyond belief when with rest and food they are there for the taking again and again. Restraint is the way of survival, to treat humanity as a stock to manage and to live amongst is where the true sophistication lies. To take life needlessly only serves to destroy vampires in the end.

Well now, I think one of the keys to a vampires successful bite is their breath. Regardless if you are the seductress type such as Gabrielle (love the description of the RP) or in Bloodlines. Keyword here is ALTOIDS I seriously doubt anyone wants to be bitten by someone with funky ass hot mess breath. eeewwww /Me shudders.

Be sure to pop one of those bad boys in and that should give especially the Bloodlines vampires an edge over the other vampires.

I'm the same, in RP sims I can and do RP a classic gothic Vampress...very evil who considers anything walking as food.... but outside of RP Sims I turn into Kyllie the Friendly Vampire !

I dont expect to have non-rpers run in fear of me and am not "in character" all the time.

The worst I will do in a non rp sim is manybe lick my fangs, compliment your neck and ask what your blood type is (I have Type AO intoerance... gives me gas..).

Oh that's an easy one for me. I don't breathe, so there is nothing that needs freshening. The last breath I took was as I gasped my last and expired. I hold that last breath within my lungs for all eternity. My blood does not need oxygen, my heart does not pump it, it is a cold and still organ. My blood runs through my veins without the need of an organ to pump it.
However the rhythm and supernatural aspect of my blood mixing with my victim's blood produces a fake heart beat and pulse which aids me in passing for normal when well fed. It does not last for very long however and must be topped up to keep up the masquerade.

Vampires can and do vary greatly in their abilities and traits in a simillar way humans do.
For instance, I can absorb blood through any part of my exposed flesh and not just by drinking it. Obviously it must be bleeding first in such circumstances as I cannot just draw it forth using this method.

i used to have made a scripted bloodsucking device, the good bit was that it didn't require consent from the person

Sounds interesting and clever, however in a world where your vampy activities can get you banned from all inworld vampy activities, it is best to feed only in the areas where people enter at their own risk.
I would be interested in such a device for those dark squallid places I lurk, do you sell it? Could I take a look at one before buying or at least get a description of how it works? How does it animate the other person if indeed it does animate them?

It was blood sucking in the "Blood omen" style, means it was playing sound and animations on you and a stream of blood would come out of your victim's chest and land into your mouth.

Just goes to show comes close to the richness of a well written narrative, you can do whatever you want and do it however you want without needing anyone's permission when you write it yourself VV
