Nearly all of my furniture is from Ramos. And I love it, except for the visible pose balls, which I hate, hate, HATE. It's reached a tipping point, and I want furniture without them.
Ideally, I'm looking for furniture that I will love that doesn't have visible poseballs and what poses are embedded aren't really silly or awkward. I would rather have something without poses entirely rather than having something that makes me cringe every time I look at it.
So the question: Do you have furniture like this? Why do you love it? (If you just "like" it and not love it, that's OK. We don't all feel that way about digital furniture, after all...)

doesn't trusty old /1 hide do the trick?
If not, Feline, I'll drop you a LM when I'm next in world. I bought a couple of sets with in built poses and they are rather splendid.

I have a bed by Ramos. Those poseballs can be hidden, but I don't remember the command at the moment.

If it's no-mod, ask the creator to mod it for you so that the balls are invisible.

most furniture with poseballs can be hidden with either /1hide or hide.

I love Ramos as well. Also , Hoffman Design is a favorite. All their stuff has hideable poseballs I believe,.

i haven't had much luck with furniture that doesn't have a poseball, but invisible would be doable?

Southern Comfort has gorgeous furniture. Some of it has pb's, some does not (they're either invisible, or pose is integrated in furniture.) At any rate, it's all beautifully done, and worth a look. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Amiaguas%20Binei/108/131/21

Pillow Talk
02-26-2008 07:36
Most of the furniture I've seen lately are the MLP (or menu driven furniture) that can be used with or without the poseballs. But even with the poseballs, as others have said, once you are on the pose you wish, do /1 hide and it vanishes and if there is a menu the poses can be changed without the poseballs showing again. On a slightly different angle...we have fallen in love with the merchandise from "Pillow Talk." They are wonderful poses...anything you can think of from PG and beyond BUT, instead of the poses being those pink/blue balls, they are lovely pillows. The pillows are mod and can be textured to fit your decor. The ones that I think are absolutely brilliant are ones that are one pillow...one "sitter" - but if a second "sitter" accesses the pillow, it becomes a couples pose. I am starting to see the Pillow Talk pillows out in clubs and gardens and other public places now as they are so much more aesthetically pleasing than the balls. **I have Pillow Talk in my picks if anyone needs a lm.

poses can be put in any prim, you don't need a poseball.
Get LearJeff's free sit positioner from SL Exchange.
Load the poses you want to use into it (it comes with a selection of freebie Poser sit poses, but they are not animated).
Follow the directions to put the pose into a cushion in the furniture and position it.
Note: You'll need separate prims for each sit pose on a multiperson item like a couch. If the couch doesn't have a cushion for each avatar, you may need to add transparent prims to hold the sit poses, or get some pillows.

The pillows are mod and can be textured to fit your decor. I picked up a pillow from there the other day that I had seen a friend use. It's got a lovely cute sitting on the ground pose in it and it attaches, so you can use it everywhere, even in no-build areas. Once you attach it you automatically sit down. Plus it's modifiable so you can make sure it works for your size. It's absolutely brilliant! .

ohohohohoh!!! Pillow talk ROCKS! My current fav of theirs is the pillows that you ue on a bed and when you lay it covers you with a blanket...its so snugggggly and mod for the blanket so it can be made to tone/match your bed. I like Ramos but its awfully high prim? Prim savers new stuff is cool...REALLY low prims and cute cuddle menus (menu driven so no ugy pose balls) Prims savers also does couches , chairs etc with no poses...you could use the pillow talk pillows on them, and edit them to compliment the colours of the couch

Most of my furniture features multiple embedded animations inside the furniture cushions and backs, so poseballless. Feel free to visit and look around if ya like. Goun/182/70/36
