Made a L$4999 payment to 'Commerce Leader' three days ago to get to my account. Now three days later and no sign of it. "Commerce Leader" has disabled IM's and the so-called help desk has not even had the courtesy to answer the help ticket (after three days).
Have I been had?

Sounds like the ESC has been taking business lessons from Linden Labs.
Try dropping a notecard on Commerce Leader explaining your problem if IM is disabled. Also have a look on the website and see if there is an email address you can contact for support. Dont think you have been scamed. SLB is a reputable site although support is sometimes lacking.

I think that they are operating out of the US, but just in case that it's Europe, please keep in mind that there is a long weekend in most European countries due to Labour Day (May 1) being a public holiday. Anyway, they are as reputable as they come in SL. Maybe Commerce Leader's trading limits have been mysteriously reset to day 0 ones. It sure happened to other residents.

I've been wondering about this myself. I sent them a priority 3 ticket almost three weeks ago about a problem I'm having with my vendor boxes, and then a priority 1 ticket about the same issue a week later when I received no response. There's been no activity on either ticket. There's no way listed anywhere on the website that I can find to contact them other than through their support ticket system. I'll try dropping a notecard in world, but at this point I'm pretty discouraged with their customer service (or rather lack of it).

this was three days ago and I filed a help desk request three days ago. "Commerce Leader" specifically says don't contact him, use the 'help desk'.
This is no way to run a railroad.

A couple of days ago (27th) the SLB 'search' function wasn't working - even using the Categories on the left (e.g Furniture) gave an error. I reported that (via their Help Ticket system) and it got fixed by next time I checked (a day or so later). But at the same time, I'd paid a little money to Commerce Leader (not as much as your L$4999 tho!) and it hasn't yet gone through. I reported *that* with a ticket at the same time and it hasn't had any activity or response either. The other thing I'd noticed around then was that my SLB sales had dropped to zero for a few days (normally I sell things every day from there), although that seemed to improve once the Search was fixed. Possibly not to original levels; might be explained if nobody can put money in to spend! I like the idea that Commerce Leader's trading limits have reverted that's quite funny - it has happened to so many of us (me included, tho I think I'm fixed now). But I am still getting payments *from* him in-world. The lack of feedback is disappointing.

For a couple of days my vendors didn't update to the website, I guess they again had communication problems between world and website. It is working again now - but of course I didn't get any response to my help ticket.

Ah! There was something about email/http communications that went wrong after the update last week, wasn't there? That might explain the lack of sales.

use http://www.slexchange.com instead. They have a better interface, the same products, the same search results, better customer service, and no sheeps that steal your stuff (i think)

Working On This Today

Sorry guys! We had a little issue that brought in a lot of support requests over the past couple days. It's been resolved, but it's taking me some time to respond to everyone. I'll get you taken care of. Don't worry!

Cat Herder?

From: Jade Lily Jade Lily Cat Herder Electric Sheep Company I sure hope that's not the customer service manager's title and that you are, in fact, a cat shepherd. If it is the customer service title, you might want to keep it an inside joke back at the sheep barn.

I put in a support request as well due to vendors not updating.
A wee little comment somewhere on their webpage to give notice that there was a problem, might have prevented a whole lot of those support tickets.
I wouldn't have sent my support request if I knew a) SLB was aware of the problem, b) SLB was working on the problem, c) the problem affected more than just me.
SLB seems to be learning its communications skills from LL maybe?

If I told you that SLB support was secondary to my cat-herding responsibilities, it wouldn't make you feel anymore comfortable with the current situation, would it? Don't worry, guys. I won't go to sleep until you're all taken care of. Sorry for the poor communication.

I also paid L$800 to Commerce Leader early hours (UK time) last Thursday morning which still hasn't showed up on my account yet. My tickets haven't even been looked at. It makes me very reluctant to use SL Boutique or Commerce Leader again and will definitely look to using SL Exchange in future if this is the level of customer support provided.

Thats less that $3 so probably not in the top of their issues list. Perspective is needed.

SLBoutique's search is Java based, which occasionally goes down (more frequently than we'd like). That's why the site will appear to be up, but search will fail. This allows us to have a much more powerful overall search capability during the 99.9% it is up and running.
Since going to a 0% commission structure, our amount of items has shot through the roof, causing the load on the site to increase. Our large selection of free items also tends to make the server cluster cry occasionally.
I can assure you that some major solutions are on the way to many of these concerns and problems.
Regards,
-FlipperPA
