Well, if we're showing photos *grins* Default avatar straight off Orientation Island and quickly tp'd to my new home sim. I spent four (yes four!!) hours working on this look. I was in a Gorean sim as a Free Woman and needed to have a long dress and gloves. I thought there was no other way to make clothes other than system clothes (having come from EQ) and couldn't figure how people were making the full skirts and veils. I was quite proud of this look...now I want to go hide under a bed when I see it. Later in the week I was "clued in" to purchasing clothes, hair, etc. My first-purchased hair (that I still wear), had not purchased my skin yet but was more pleased with the sliders for my face, and LOVED having pretty, flowing gowns with a veil...woot!!!

From: Ceka Cianci i have a bunch of things from back then that are buried in there somewhere..but the one thing i wish i still had but must have been thrown away.. The worlds largest flying pancake..
Ceka, that sounded familiar to me so I just logged in and did indeed find it in my inventory. I just tried to send it to you, but there are nearly 83,000 logged in at the moment, I'm a white cloud, and I don't know if the transfer worked. (if it didn't, I'll try again, later.)

*smiles* my main still has piles of stuff from my first day, when I went to the Freebie Warehouse. That was in 2006, so none of it prolly has historical value, though God knows when it was created (I, too, wish create dates were visible).
I checked a few months ago, and the Freebie Warehouse was still there. When I started everyone went there, and store freebies where much less common; now there was no one at the Warehouse except an obvious alt of someone who knew what they were looking for. .

From: SuezanneC Baskerville I wonder what avatar that was. that avatar was reddish tigereye, named after my cat, reddish. when he died, i couldnt use my avatar anymore, it hurt too much. i still log her on to change her clothes though : )) needless to say, i dont name my avatars after my pets anymore, using my real name solved that problem from happening again. lizzie

I have most things, or think I do, from my early times. I have some of the free LL content, but I am sure I don't have all of it - it was cool being able to get some examples, though.

My oldest Av barely scrapped into 2003 (Dec28th rezday) and I played that Av for a year without deleting a thing. So I have it all. Infact I recently rezzed the chair i spent my first few days building. Took over 100 prims but other than that it's not too bad!

(There was no Blue Box stating that the item was received, so I wondered--I did remain a White Cloud that whole session, so I know things were not working correctly.) I'll give it another try---everyone should have a Flying Pancake!! EDIT: I just logged in....as a White Cloud, again! And the logins are well below 80K...!!

I went for a while not logging in, so all my old stuff vanished I had a really sweet skin that I made myself on like my 3rd day in SL and some cool hair from before flexies. I keep wondering if I still have the harddrive laying around that those textures were on...

I still wear a tattoo that I bought my first night in SL, which has not been sold in world since 2003.

I have every single thing (lots and lots) from the day I started way back in 2004. Some of it says it was made in 2003. What are you looking for? I may just have it. SS

I don't have anything from my first time in SL, because I made that account sometime in 2003 and lost it. I dropped it because my computer at the time couldn't handle it well enough to be useful, and I came to SL to create. I do remember vividly what happened that night though. I followed the tutorials, because I always read the instructions ( ), including talking to the parrot. I rezzed into someplace where a few avatars were standing around talking and making noises. I recall there being a chocobo, and a neko-ish type person dancing. A helpful person whose name I can't remember, something Hoodoo....Maybe Bella? Started with a B I think...talked to me and taught me how to fly, and showed me to a dance area with a rainbow floor. I must have logged out after that, I don't remember anything else. I recently saw that dance floor again - not a dancer in sight now, but it's still there, somewhere on the mainland. I left SL alone for a long time, until I saw on DeviantArt a furry avatar made in SL. My insatiable desire to bring my creatures to virtual life drew me in again. I went through the same Orientation Island steps as a refresher, and from wherever I rezzed I went straight to Luskwood (the only place in SL I knew the name of!) to get an avatar to study. I still have that avatar, a female light Joguani. I never modded it beyond wearing clothes.

She was always extremely helpful.

From: SuezanneC Baskerville Who's got stuff acquired on the day you started SL? How old is it? Anyone have stuff you made from 2003? I have the mesh hair I purchased my third day in SL. I still wear it. I think I'm stuck with it now. Without it I don't look like Carl Metropolitan.

From: Briana Dawson I know of no HooDoo's. It's an old last name. In-world search shows most Hoodoos have join dates in late 2004 or early 2005, so I may have my dates wrong.

My rez date is in March of '07, so even my "old" stuff really isn't that old. I do have just a few things left. In my first couple of weeks I tried out making outfit folders in the Clothing folder as a way to keep the incredible (or so I thought at the time) freebie finds I'd made together. I couldn't do much, but at least I could find those folders and look gooood. I stopped making outfit folders after that first batch, so those were hidden away and forgotten about during the first several inventory cleanings I did. I only rediscovered them recently. Since I put skins, hair, shape, shoes (the few I had) in them I can drag them out. When i saw this thread I took a picture as I am just sitting around today, and then dropped on one of the old folders. I wish I had known when I started how much I would enjoy looking back at old pictures. I had no idea at the time, so, sadly, I don't have that many of my first several months.

From: Weston Graves Haha! I have one of those too. Do you think anyone could tell we had just started? I'm pretty sure I have the first clothes I bought - whatever they are. Everything else I probably got rid of. [Edit: Expletive! I've done everything but sacrifice innocent animals and the silly picture refuses to show up for me. I know I've gotten this to work before . . . ] Got your pic to show up, Weston (at least in my browser). Looking smooth, btw.

I still have the very first thing i ever built in SL, my first day... It was a (admittedly) largely plywood 'treehouse'... made for a little 300ish sqm i'd bought in Lusk.
Sad thing is my home point has never changed, 5+ years later, we still have a 'treehouse' there... and if you squint... you can almost see the resemblance between it, and the entire luskwood area now.

That's bad? I rezzed into SL on February 22, 2006. The house I live in today was built at the end of that month (an inspect of the prims in my room dates it to February 28th, though some prims date to as late as March 7th, 2006). I still rez into that house daily. Some day it may all go away (given the current economy, it is a lot of tier to pay), but for now, old house remains old.

I wish I still had my first house.
But it got returned, uncoalesced, so it's now a couple of hundred prims named "object", "wall", and "floor", along with a couple of no-copy pieces of furniture that had kept me from keeping a backup.
I never built another house after that.

I wore the same single outfit from the day I rezzed (OCT 2006) for about a year and a half, and then I changed into a shirt that someone gave me. I'm still wearing that shirt, and I put on the original one every now and then!
I think I still have the prims from my first house and stuff.
I also like to keep LMs to old properties I owned and go back and see what they turned into later.
