Stuff from the day you started?

Who's got stuff acquired on the day you started SL? How old is it? Anyone have stuff you made from 2003?

I don't seem to have anything from the first few months.

I still have the Linden Boxes I collected on my first day, which I was told at the time would be valuable or collectibles or something.

I think I probably have a copy of anything significant I've ever made in SL, though I only started in June '06

I still have first avvie, put together on the day I rezzed inworld. I also still wear the glasses I bought in my first week, back in February 2006.

There's many things in my inventory from much earlier, including an avatar that Washu Zebrastripe made in 2003, a copy of the Jesse Wall, and other legacy content.

I still have the now broken table I made the day I started. ALso an old camp linden canoe somewhere in inventory.

Oh and I still have the castle that was up right next to your land way back when Suzanne. when we as newbs annoyed you so badly with our ban lines that you put up a 40M wall with a picture of what our castle looked like with banlines across it. We all still laugh at your creativity with that one

I have every single thing from the day I started.

Unrelated kinda, but this made me think of it.
I still have the first thing my mate made. It's just a simple purple physical sphere, but I had to fight to get him to make it ("I don't want to make anything!" and it is very special to me.

I still have the "teleporter base" from the first thing I started building. (it was the first object I successfully linked together).. and I still have the outfit and shape that I was wearing when I left Orientation Island.

Metallica played a couple of days after I first entered inworld. My first object, as far as I can remember, is the gong stick I got when I sat down at Lar's drum kit before the show. I still have it.

Not from the first day but from the first week. I went to KK the first time ever. And one of the models gave me the shape I still use today. We met later again by pure luck. Amazing ...and long...story

I'm pretty sure I have the first clothes I bought - whatever they are. Everything else I probably got rid of.

Waterhead was not around when I joined, I remember it being a big deal.

The Linden freebie vendors way back when didn't all have the same content as each other. Apparently a Linden employee would decide to put something in one and didn't feel the need to make them be consistent.

The dispenser on the Waterhead infohub copy is the sort of dispenser I'm talking about, unless there's an older vendor I don't remember.

What's the oldest prim inworld?

I know I don't have anything from my first day in SL... I have a picture from my 4th day though. And I still have at least 3 of the things that are in that picture... the grey tank top I was wearing, and the two paintings in the background - they are my own artwork I uploaded, I still have the original uploaded textures. Actually I still have the sword too, but not the orginal - it's been updated many times since then.

The very first things I made were named object, and I have deleted everything named object several times, owing to having thousands of things named object.

I found an item from Dec. 30, 2003, named house, which may be the oldest item that I made that I can find without extensive searching. It's not much of a house. Doesn't have a roof. Still plywood textures.

I found an "Avatar Texture Bundle" made by Cory Ondrejka, acquired Dec. 30, 2003. Cory's born date is 3/28/2002. It's possible I got that during a class held at the Perry learning platform.

I wonder what content still exists from 2002.

I wish things had creation dates instead of just acquired by dates.

I have the very first outfit that I bought. It's a retro shorts, boots and top, uses the sliders rather than hard alpha channel edges (or prim boots) but for some reason I still love it and throw it on every now and then. I'm pretty sure that was from my first day. Back then, camping earned L$15/5 minutes, so I camped for 20 minutes and had enough to pay for that outfit. Fond memories.

I still have and use the very first pair of high heels I bought in game. DBA - Color Change Swirl Shoes. The creator does not sell stuff anymore. I have of course bought many pair of shoes since then but I still wear these 90% of the time when I need formal. First bought dress was of course a LBD, never could wear one in RL.

I still have the first thing I built purposely as a gift: a rotating rose, except the flower itself is a slice of watermelon. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out who got that.

I can pass you a copy of that vendor, if you'd like.

Oldest prim? Try "The Man" in Natoma. He's from the early beta days, off in mid-2002.

My first build is also still in my inventory: a beach blanket a cousin taught me how to do in mid 2006.

i have a bunch of things from back then that are buried in there somewhere..but the one thing i wish i still had but must have been thrown away..

i remember getting it just because i had to see what it looked like..it was huge and had this bar that came up to a steering wheel and the rest was just pancake..

that's the only thing that sticks in my head when i think about my first freebies from back then.

Ah, the old Appearance Castle! (not that that was its official name, probably.)

I miss that whole Orientation Island--even the rats you were supposed to run over in the City part.

Anyway---yes, I still have at least one thing from my first day. I stood in front of those billboards that had tutorials on working with prims, and made a distorted cylinder with a floor-tile texture, made semi-transparent and twisted around and shrunk. I still use it to make light fixtures and jewelry items.

From the first week I started I have (from memory):

*The freebie shape I still wear (tweaked over time)
*Reverie AO - sold at the time for 1K and was given to me by someone in my first SL home who barely knew me
*A lovely outfit made by a woman I met while shopping in a marketplace - I complimented the outfit and she gave a copy to me - still one of my favorite outfits
*The first (awful) build I *cough* made - a 4-legged stool. I unwittingly attended class 4 of a beginner's class given in my home sim and knew NOTHING about building...NOTHING!
*My first two wigs - one still worn regularly
*My first purchased skin - and the one I still wear

By day 2 in SL, I had found just about all someone could find by searching the word "Kawaii" in SL and put together myself a rather haunting loli avatar. For my rez day... I was able to find each and every bit of it. (^_^)y
