This thread has derailed into nice remarks, has stayed on-topic and has been requested to remain open by the original poster. As such, i have kept this thread open.

It's Saturday so I'll deviate a little from SL to RL...
This morning I discovered that a kitten was living in my garage. I live on 9 acres in rural Alaska, and the only way the little thing could have gotten here is if some one abandoned it. It just so happens that my son and I had been meaning to get a new kitten at the pound, but we hadn't gotten around to it yet. It managed to end up at the right home, though we haven't managed to catch it yet. It's very scarred. I've taken in feral cats in the past, so I know what to do to get them to turn into good pets. I've already named the little guy Muffin, as in Ragamuffin. _____________________

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my friend, Maureen. Mo befriended me quietly and unobtrusively, and I really appreciate that she reached out in friendship when I really needed it. She's a genuine sweetheart. _____________________

I am positive that the stock markets will rise in a few months time. That's a positive. I don't know about kittens but it's nice someone cares for them. Dogs also.

I need to say something nice about someone here? Do lies count? Just tell me I'm cute, Ricardo. It's the truth! But then you will be going against your pessimistic spirit, which I so admire. Just this once, though, is that such a bad thing? _____________________

Hey I am mentioned twice for being a nice guy... something is going terribly wrong with my reputation...
Anyway, I like many people I met in SL. Seems that in general, people tend to be friendly and nice. To name a few: HoneyBear: Always friendly and helpful Phil: Helped me a great deal with figuring out search Faithless: another great gal ![]() Santo Kanto: As far as I know not active on this forum, but the best Estate Manager ever. Lexxi: Gave me a hitch in her car, which made me log out at the first sim crossing. What happened after that I won't tell. Well, only my ghost has seen it anyway ![]() Ciaran: Always providing great views, showing sensibility. Qie: Great postings with knowledge to back up what he says. Probably I did not mention a lot of you, these are the ones that pop up in my head at the moment. Doesn't mean I do not like you though ![]() _____________________

I just want to say to all those who do not get their name mentioned here, don't feel badly (I know a lot of folks look hoping to see their name, it is human nature)
You do have a positive impact on people's lives, just because your name doesn't get mentioned, doesn't mean that you are not thought of in one way or another by someone here. A lot of times we make impressions on folks, and impact their lives in ways we never knew, realized or even expected. Everyone on the forums has impacted my life in one way or another in a positive manner. It might have been a comment that was not made directly to me, but it affected me, or it might have been something they said to me that got me to thinking about something else, etc so no matter who you are, you, each and every one of you, have had a positive impact on my SL in varying degrees and levels. (well the ones I have seen post that is, granted there are some I don't know, but... they are impacting the lives of others, even as we... type) To each and every one of you, thank you! _____________________

Since we are all get mushy I will add my penny's worth.
Yes all you Forum dwellers or passerby-er's or majority have warm to lukewarm spot in my pixel heart... /FD sends pixel hugs to all who want them. I promise not to turn on the forum's or SL's Smell-O-Vision and fart while giving out hugs. _____________________

Let's keep raising the bar on being positive! I find that most people in SL are happy to help, contribute and share. And the more we encourage that and applaud it the better things get! On our sims there are so many residents who pitch in to help keep things rolling and thriving. The feel an emotional attachment to the place and want things to go well just because....That kind of support is always wonderful to see! I would name them, but they dont read the forums lol.

RA forums has become my "home within a home" on SL. If I have a question on anything SL-related I come here first, search, and if I don't find the answer post and invariably within literally minutes someone posts the answer. Thank you to each and every one of you who has done that.
![]() Also a huge thank you to all of you who, when I mentioned liking some item or asking where to get it, dropped it on me in world. There are MANY of you who have done that. Everything from avatars (thanks Immy!) to scripts (that group joiner script when setting one not on my property is WONDERFUL, Skell!) to items to keep Vampires away (winks to Cheree). Items I'm not exactly sure what they do but they sound great (thanks Min for the "Blue Ball" , when I was VERY new to SL & the forums, Mari dropped the Scrubber script on me and I have used that script more times than i can say!! IMs I've received when I've mentioned something I'm confused about on the forums from people who relay valuable info (since you all IM'd me, I'll keep your names in confidence, but you know who you all are and I thank you so very much)....a condolence card from Miles that warmed my heart during a rough time...**takes a breath** ...encouragement on the forums from many, many of you (thank you, Phil, for putting the thought in my head that I might indeed grow an " entrepreneurial bone"....and those of you who IM'd when something didn't seem quite right and took the time to ask me instead of assuming something....that meant so very much to me. It goes without saying all the amazing, valuable advice contained by each of you in the "Advice on Business" thread. Thank you Skell for the Biz Group and website - I think you had a hand in that too, Jojo...can't recall now...but you get a special thank you from me for many reasons. ![]() Rhia for providing amazingly beautiful FREE satellite spots - the fun meeting Amar, Ralektra, Eclectic, Skell, Damien1 (and others I know I'm forgetting) at Rhia's. And the general fun and laughs I get from so many of you...Trout, Brenda, Colleen.... Ok...before this turns into a novelette...I appreciate ALL of you for various reasons! *Group Hug* (Edit to add - I can't leave out Mari & Dakota being the first child avatars I met in SL and thanks to them and their example and input on the thread my attitude toward child AVs is a LOT different than it might have been had I not (a) interacted with them and (b) read this forum. And Bodhi - Storm and I still need to have our "playdate" with you *grins*) _____________________
