I remember a little after when I started, SL was like crack for me, it went down for 2 days. It was just before New Years. It wasn't offline completely the entire time but only a handful could get in. If they did SL was pretty useless. That was Dec 2004.

SL was like this for awhile off and on limping along. SL updates were the worst because they say it would take 4 hours every Tuesday but it regularly took 6 to 8 hours.

Oh i remeber that it was a nightmare..............But as i was told there was a time before this.............. the game was offline fore a longer period and what happen was they refuned money to the users for the problems......

i do recall one time we all got a free weeks classified because of the problems with the search thingy? ummm i think...

might be hallucinating again tho :)

I remember that. but, instead of giving a rebate to the people who held classifieds during the week that classifieds were massively auto-deleted, they gave "rebates" to the people who currently held classifieds at the time the rebate was executed, a week later. Those are two quite different things. It was a nice effort, i guess.
