Reminds me of when I bought my First Land (R.I.P.).
It was a sheer cliff, and rather than build in the sky (that didn't occur to me), I used prims to make a flat (badly textured) grass platform. Wow, nice! (ick) Plop down some prefab horror and voila! Home!
The best part was rezzing items, and deleting not them, but the prim platform under my feet and tumbling down the cliff and into a neighbor's rock crevice every @#$%ing 20 seconds.
It wasn't until about the 271,039,348th time I realized there was the "lock" checkbox
*sigh* slow learning curve here .. lol
