Your Favorite Intan Dances?

Hey everyone,

I've been searching sl all day looking for great couples dances to load into an Intan. I'm trying to find some really elaborate ones. Something like the ones you can use at the Sphynx Jazz club if you've ever tried them.

I dont know either really for the Itan but Xerc and I love the ones from Bits and Bobs. Hmmm wonder if they can be put in the Itan.

So will be interested in this as well.

Some are 3FX dances and they offer couples sets INTAN ready that we love!

Eclipse is Bits & Bobs I think all the rest are 3FX

Putting just about any dance (or intimate animation) that you've bought into your Intan is VERY easy, because all the animators have supplied configuration cards for Intan. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Intan Eksotics store and register for access to their website. Just takes a second, it's fully automated.

2. Go to the list of cards on the website, login, and find the cards you need. http://intan.eksotics.com/?command=confmanager&viewall=1

Click "send to me" next to the configuration card name; it will be sent to your avatar inworld.

3. If your dance is in pose balls, rez the balls and extract the animations into your inventory. You do NOT need any of the scripts etc. from the poseball. Most dances just have 2 animations, one for the man and one for the woman. Some intimate animations are long, and so have several animations. Grab them all.

4. Edit your Intan and put the animations AND the configuration notecard into the contents. Your Intan will reset automagically, and you should be all set.

Very very occasionally, you may encounter an animator who has named their male and female anims the same name - the configuration card will show you exactly how you need to rename the anims so they are unique.

I'm going to probably upset plenty here by saying that while the dance from Bits and Bobs suit many, they're getting left behind, VERY VERY quickly.

You only have to compare them with the gorgeously fluid and detailed motion captured dances from 3fx and Henmations to realise this.

Craig Altman does great animations but I am no longer excited when "yet another slow dance like those that came before" is released once every few months when 3fx or Henmations on one day, will drop a dozen new dances on our plates.

Right now they have the latin genre plus others totally captured (pun intended) and if they ever release ballroom to the same standard, then i'm afraid the non mocapped dances from the likes of Carmens, B&B's, Maur etc will look very cartoonish.

Plus, and this is a bit of a gripe at Craig, while others are quite happy making Intan ready sets that can be dropped right into the ball, Craig insists on making it an absolute chore, for that reason alone, I find it's easier to point someone to dances from 3fx. 30 seconds to load 24 dances...half an hour to load that amount from B&B.

Henmations gets my second recommendation behind 3fx but for the absolutely awful naming scheme that i've mentioned before. "Couple Dance 14"? Yes, I always remember exactly what that one looks like (NOT). Everyone else manages to think of names, to be given the excuse that it's not possible is lame, really, yes lame. Oh and the prices are in some cases twice those of 3fx for mocap from the same source but that's their right to set their price, it just makes them not the first place to point anyone to.

Oh and slightly off topic but while i'm in rant mode What's with some dance venues that are happy to pay tier on half a sim or more, create what may be a lovely venue and then make it no build so I can't use my own Intan and offer a "house" one with 14 dances. (ok some have a few more) It's a dance venue... the dances should be top of the list, not an afterthought given a "we can't afford it" type attitude. The tier on some of the venues a month far far outweighs what it would cost to fully equip an Intan with the good dances that have been mentioned as just a one off purchase.

Either this or create a 16m2 parcel just off the dance floor so we can rez couples balls and use our own Intan. (I generally won't stay if I can't use my own anyway)

Our Love is 3FX. One of our favorites.

Typically properties are made no-build to prevent people from leaving prims around that don't belong there, as well as introducing prims that don't belong (autoreturn will keep them from being left there but won't keep them from showing up in the first place). If there weren't people on the grid who made such things necessary they wouldn't be inconveniencing you, it's something that you've unfortunately got to live with.

if i remember right eclipse is from bits & bobs.

Yes, I know why they get set like that but all too often it's just because:-

"I'm paranoid"
"All the build was done by someone else, now we can't turn on auto-return or it all gets sent back"

If they were all subect to daily griefer attacks then fair enough but i've hosted at a very popular venue for a long time and it's incredibly rare (at that venue anyway)

I'm not big on denying things to people due to a very small minority though I accept that others are totally paranoid. My solution as stated is also very workable. I go elsewhere, neither I nor the establishment cares either way

Anyway, just to re-iterate, since it's an Intan thread...

Also look at Akeyo (not couples dances but I did a notecard with some of the singles arrangments which suit those times when you want to switch to something more "clubby". The notecard is on the Intan config site)

I'm not "paranoid" and was of the same opinion as you for the past 2 years. Then last week I logged into my sim and found someone had rezzed giant cylinders in front of all the doors and entrances to the 3 stores on the sim. Not one customer had been able to get in the stores for at least a 16 hour period. And one of the stores is not mine..so I felt awful. Lately it seems people have total disregard for leaving things all over sims that are not theirs...for several weeks leading up to the incident I mentioned above... I had to return at least 60-100 prims a day to visitors just leaving stuff around. I could see if it was just one or two that don't know any better...but it was always different avies.

So now I've had to turn off create objects & rezzing on my sim even though I hate doing it.

Nope..not everything is in a single group...and one of the stores belongs to someone else.

I do not know what an "Intan" is, and assume from this thread that it is not a creator of dances, but an item to put dances into.

I just play the dances straight from the little dancing man animation icon in inventory. If nothing else that allows me to dance privately. I'll look like I'm standing there, but I could very well be dancing wildly all over the place, but clicking on that dance privately button. Maybe things like Intan have that. Therefore I'll go with the ability to dance without having to rez anything.

Lexxi, the Intan ball is what we have at the Hangout up at the ceiling. When you click on it it rezzes two poseballs (for couples, one for singles). You use the poseballs and can change the dance you are doing by clicking on the dance ball on the ceiling.

If your Mistress allows I'd be happy to demonstrate (Sorry, just being fresh).
