Today is my three-year rez day! Yay! I was thinking I'd explore something new to celebrate. I've been to Greenies, Amsterdam, and Paris recently, but not to the new Linden build, and in general I don't get out enough. Can anyone recommend a sim to explore?

OK..shameless plug for the Etopia sims....two educational sims modeling an environmentally supportive town with alternative energy sources, alternative transportation, residential, commerical and natural spaces. Enjoy mountains, beaches, forests, waterfalls, bay, ocean, vineyard, farm, village with shops. Try biking on bike trails with a bamboo bike, boating, innertubing around both sims, drumming in the forest, riding the train around the island, riding the gondolas up and down the mountain, fishing, skydiving, dancing. Explore the educational exhibits, non profit displays, cohousing model, RL "green" companies, even an in world model of a "green" home built to scale with RL building plans.
Lots to see and do...check the calendar for events, classes, dances, etc. It is my fav place in SL...smile...Oh and really really nice people who live, work and visit there. End of shameless plug... _____________________

Woo, lots of great suggestions here! Thanks! And I don't mind "shameless plugs" at all -- I *want* shameless plugs! My "rezday resolution" is to get out an explore SL more, so I want enough spots to keep me busy for a year, not just a day.

My favorites lately are:
Chakryn Forest Black Swan Kingdom of sand and all of the Rezzable (spelling?) sims the Rezzable sims are a bunch of sims dedicated to various artists and they each have their own art displays/re-creations You'll see all sorts of cool things, and thats where Starox hides out now. ![]() (his new sculpty builds are absolutely amazing and can be bought as one-up sculptures in the Rezzable sims) |

Hmmm,
Cybarvaria (sp) that is pretty cool can send a landmark when I get home today. SS Galaxy is a great one! And my all time favorite Africa take the balloon ride that is real cool. |

Shameless plugs then...
Fenland West, Visit Bourbon St and Pirates Alley, there is a pool sky box with a party every Sunday at 4PM SLT. Also a public sand box. Check my signature for the location. Congrats, "CX" _____________________

More great suggestions! In the liniked thread, I notice something called the Mata Hari Quest, but I can't seem to find it using Search in-game. Anyone have a SLURL?

I'm currently fond of the sim Eldamar - Tolkien themed, but enjoyable for anyone who just wants a beautiful fantasy-like forest to wander in. You almost have to tone the colors down on your monitor though. It's bright!

I'll suggest Victoriania - it's a sim based on a Victorian Sydney Australia that Fatima and I visited earlier today. I have to say that I have yet to see such quality textures and builds anywhere else in SL. Just go and marvel! And whilst you're there, cam underground along one of the streets for a wonderful sewer system!

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but the Garden of NPIRL Delights is GREAT. (NPIRL: Not Possible in Real Life.) I just discovered it last night. I could spend..at least a week there.

Happy Rezday, I recommend Hades. Pretty crazy. I also recommend Gypsy Moon, if you like The Dark Crystal & crazy fantasy scapes like that.

My first rezday is coming up soon, so thank you for all this-- it shall help me.
One thing I did recently that was pretty interesting was to get on the unfinished road near my home on the southern continent and just walk around looking at what was happening. Wild! |
