From: Qie Niangao Yuck.
Of course, any rezzing (temp or not) would only work on land that permits object creation (and that has prims to spare).
Do temp objects take up prim allowance? It use to be that they didn't. I scripted a vendor to rez temporary merchandise in a holographic form to cut down on objects on my land. Two days after finishing the debugging I found a freebie that did the same damn thing and was even named "The Holo-Vendor." lol Anyway I like Bree's idea. From: Bree Giffen Hmmm. There's an advanced menu tool that completely circumvents those things so why bother?
It would be funny if you were to buy the exact same version of their clothes and then stand next to them and make it look like you're twins. Might be a fun hunt. The wearer's wounded ego might ego might be enough for them to go back to SL/EX and write a scathing review.

Just looked through a couple of these items, and some IM the owner to tell them they're being inspected.
Cue a crowd standing around one of these bozos, clicking away to spam them with IMs.

From: Skell Dagger Having looked a few of them up on Xstreet, it appears to come down to the following quotes from the ads: They forgot "This is a great money making scam to relieve certain people of their money. It's also great at lagging out a sim! Make sure to join those wearing these ineffective shields at crowded events such as hunts and fashion fairs." It strikes me that they could also do as half the people asked "where did you find that" do anyway, and simply ignore the person asking. I still don't see the value in 'protecting' something that anyone can buy. It usually isn't THAT much work or THAT unique a look anyway. More often just something the person had been looking for in particular. Torn jeans, nice boots, etc. I'd think retailers would hate these things. Don't they *want* people to spread the word where they bought something?

After reading through the posts, I want to call this a new griefer toy. I'm thinking about the lag issue but I'm also wondering what this will morph into?
