Well, if it helps the one that was rude was T.K.
Um, no, that's the nice one in my experience...maybe you caught her on a bad day? H.Q. is the one who left.
I really don't know either of them, I've just had a couple of chance run-ins with T.K.

Um, no, that's the nice one in my experience...maybe you caught her on a bad day? H.Q. is the one who left. Well, bad day maybe it was. People should as a successful business owner (or even up and coming) be careful when having a bad day not to be so rude to someone who is buying their stuff. One off handed smart ass response like she gave can cost her business down the road. And not just mine. Funny thing is at this point she would likely never remember the thing happened.. but I always will. Another reason some of these shop owners need to just not respond if they can't be professional. _____________________

Yeah, I can't remember the exact numbers, but one of my marketing books in business school said something like, if someone has a good customer service experience they tell, on average, two other people about it; if they have a bad experience, it's more like eight. _____________________

Pretty loose definition of the word "slightly". He also forgot to mention some of the members are "slightly loose". _____________________

Yes, when I was a manager for a retail outlet we were given this figure often lol. Thing about Second Life is that number becomes extremely compounded through a blog or forums. Some places grow to be very successful in SL. Those are the ones that have to be careful they are not sniping people. Sadly so many take their success and think it will always be there. I am very particular about who I spend money with in SL. Maybe a 300L hair doesn't amount to much to a shop owner that is huge.. but it is a little less and over time a LOT less then what they could have gotten from me lol. I dunno.. maybe my attitude about this stuff comes from my years in customer service. I had to bite my lip so many times it is not funny. I am in a smaller area so there are not lots of choices around here. In Second Life though.. there are lots of them. _____________________

ejected
08-26-2008 05:18
hi i got ejected for no reason from a place i used to hang out in.
i asked the owner why he did that politely and he said he'd been having trouble with under-age role playing. I was there on my own and told him so. He then apologised and re-instated my access. Apparently the owner was ejecting peple willy-nilly and it wasn't personal............i'd recommend you always contact the owner for an explanation.........its the least u should expect to clear your mind. dog |

I wonder if her AV isnt human, I've run into that sort of reaction a few times now while "dressed up" ... One time I was ejected and banned from a dance club before it even ressed in or I said a word .. when I IMed the manager why he made some extremely rude comments about Vampires and Role players. Ive also had similar problems with my Neko .. and while she hasnt been banned I have been asked to leave or left on my own becuase of open chat comments like "what that I smell... wet cat?" or "Whats that Cat thing on the dance floor? im afraid to get near it!" ... and im not a anamorphic Neko even ... just a hybred!. awwww kyllie we loves you_____________________

Meh..I would just chalk it up as a**holery and never go back.
When I was barely a month old, I landed in a biker sim. I had searched a particular thing and when I landed, there was this red arrow pointing up with the red beam. I figured that the arrow is pointing to where the area is that I had searched so I flew up. Eventually I came to a sky platform with what appeared to be shops and the like so I landed on it. There was a female ava on it as well and she screamed in public chat nothing more than "Hey GTFO!" I was all like "whuuuut?" and I flew up and she started chasing me. I had a little fun with it though. I flew back and forth and up and down but all within her sight...playing keep away with her, but eventually she got me. I was ejected and banned from the sim. Stupid cootch. Meh...laughed it off and didn't care. There are too many other cool places to go see and shop. _____________________

That sucks. Well, another place off my list of places to visit/recommend. Anyone that would bounce you out has to be riddled with a**holery. I have trouble imagining Marianne doing anything offensive enough to get kicked out of Svarga, just as it is difficult for me to imagine the owner of Svarga as "riddled with a**holery", she is a pretty nice lady. So I have to believe that it was simply a misunderstanding. _____________________

One of the few times I tried to get involved in a role play sim I got kicked out and permabanned. This was in a urban grunge kind of environment. The hothead who kicked me out said it was because I called another player by their name. I politely pointed out that I had carefully read the rules and guidelines about role play at the sim entrance and saw nothing there forbidding the use of a players name. I apologized and explained that I was new to role playing, and I suggested that perhaps she should give me a warning and give me another chance to learn the ropes. But nothing could persuade her, the more I tried to reason with her the angrier and more abusive she got. I finally realized that I probably did not want to be involved in her role play sim given her behavior, and went on my way. It did kind of discourage me thought, I have not tried role play since that experience.

I got ejected from Svarga once awhile back, well an Alt of mine specificaly.
Turned out to be mistaken identity, my alt`s name was 1 letter different from some trouble maker. Irritating at first but I understood completly after talkin to the owner, accidents happen Been ejected for no legit reason many times from places as well, just have to realize it`s RL people behind the avatars, and jerks are jerks, avatar or flesh and blood It`s just worse in SL sometimes because of the lack of accountability in SL. What may get someone in legal trouble, or just plain get their butt-kicked in RL, they can do in SL, and get what, an AR?that may or may not be read by a Linden and even if it is looked at, may fall under the" Don`t get involved in Res vs. Res " policy? The freedom in SL has many many advantages, but some disadvantages as well. Obviously the advantages outweigh the disadvantages for many, such as myself ![]() |

I got the boot from a place back when I was brand new ... I was looking for a skybox, and the rental office had teleporters to some of the available spots. Apparantly, one of the spots wasn't exactly available ... or I assume as much since (a) I got eject/banned as soon as I landed on the terrace, by (b) either the gentleman or his lady friend humping happily away on the patio furniture.
Certainly was an eye-opening experience for me. ![]() _____________________

You know, Cristalle.. I have refused to shop at places when the owner has a profile that is like that. I totally understand when they say "My IMs get capped so please send a notecard instead of IMing me" but when they come off with an attitude of "I am way too important for you to IM me.. leave me alone" I figure they don't want my money either. .I so agree with this. coco _____________________

I was checking out some of my old landmarks, and one had changed, and I arrived in the downstairs of a different place. Just overhead were all these guys handcuffed and on their knees, with an instructor of some type standing in front of them. OBVIOUSLY not a place for someone to just drop in on! Yet the instructor very politely asked me if I'd like to join them upstairs. No, thank you, I said, I was just following and old landmark and I was sorry for the intrusion. Don't know who those guys were, but I still think fondly of them. coco _____________________

I got booted out of well known blues club that starts with a "T" now they are I think into disco. Anyway, the person told me I was violating the dress code. There were not dress codes listed anywhere in that club. Then the person did not identify themselves as management. No tag, no nothing. Just sable you have to either change your top or leave. I was like, how are you and NICELY I like to add. After asking that question several times and getting I don't have to tell you that either change your top or leave. I also told them I have managed a club before and when I'm at the club especially working I wear my manager tag so the patrons know who I am should there be any questions or concerns. Mature sim btw.
Ok, finally after going back and forth she told me she was part owner of the club. I said ok will change my top. Now, I'm the type that my clothes has to match head to toe. So I was going through my upteem thousands of clothes to find a top to match what I had on. Well darn it!!! I was just moving too slow for her and she ejected me. Even after I told her please give me a few more minutes trying find a shirt to match. I was so pissed, I sent an im to the another "owner" to plead my case. I really liked the club that is why I went to such lengths. I explained the circumstances and he said they don't have to identify themselves, they can ask anyone to change their attire or leave. DUH!!! No dress code listed and no tag identifying themselves as owner/manager. Eventually, I got reinstated AND guess what, next time I went there they had their fricking tags on. I can understand OP if you were feelings were hurt as mine was and I been in sl for a over a year at that time. Like others said before me, don't sweat it too many other wonderful places to see, participate and enjoy. _____________________

there's a chance that part of the parcel where the OP went was private and secured by a security system. The owner might have been afk and not even noticed that someone walked by and got ejected. If you feel the need, IM the Owner and ask why. If not, well, just let it go

I just recently purchased a SIM and while we were rezzing inventory items these two chicks waltz in start climbing all over our tower and one remarked why is it so hard to find a bed to F*** in... LOL after ROFLMAO cause these two were pretty stupid if they could not find that....... I froze, ejected and banned.
I can not stand people who assume everything on SL is theirs for the taking. Instant eject ban.. However, if you come on my land say hi there Im just looking around .. FINE I got no problem with it. I put a lot of work into it, as many many other do and sometimes it amazes me why someone doesn't want people exploring their place. Hell you can even use my waterfall poseballs.. They make lovely photos. If you hear clicking, it's just they monkeys.... |

Some people are just jerks, it also could have been an automated security sytem owned by the landowner protecting a more private area.
There was somone who told me they brought a new block of L shaped land and the guy owning the land inside the L shape ejected & banned them without a word as they went up to say hello neighbour, so said the new owner said nothing to them. Then the idiot complained a week later when he discovered he had been banned from the parcel surrounding 2 sides of his land ![]() _____________________
