As much as i hate to say it, I really feel most the TSOers belong in There instead of in SL. The moderation, the availablility for kids aswell as adults, the pretty graphics without much lag on a light video card, client crashes, the way the market works, There is basically in between TSO and SL.

The main problem is SL is about money, money, and money.... there really isn't much else to SL, unless you count sex. Unless you buy lindens there is very very few ways to make enough money to do anything... sure we have better creativity then the others, open, uncensored, full control ... but not everyone wants that, i'm sure we would have much better luck with TSOers with a moderated adult grid...

that is the link to the forums on sims.stratics.com you do have to register, but its free. I think its a good idea that you read out to the adults on ea-land to come here. There are kids on there though since you are only required to be 13 to play. So just address it to the adults. Make sure to put somewhere clearly in the post that this offer is 18+, but also tell the kids about the teen grid, so maybe make like two separate posts?

I played TSO a few years back, then went to there, then came here. I went back to TSO when they re-vamped it and called it EA-Land

and now I'm about to be world-less lol. But I still have my account and all my stuff here, so for me this will be an easy process. Except for the fact that i will lose many friends. Trying to get several to come here.

Welcome Darron ,
There is teen grid here for any teen refugee's but I don't know much about it.
I use to be active member in lot of those groups but not for years.
I felt really bad for all of you EALanders/TSO players when I heard you were losing
your world after be loyal all these years.
I brought up this topic trying to think of ways we could welcome and make those losing their world in EA more comfortable here if we could reach out to them but wasn't quite sure it would be possible.

Mostly human, but there are some bear, alien, robot and bug avatars.

I also recall seeing a big tiki head avatar. One approached me once, and grunted at me. I asked it "What the hell are you?" I think I hurt its feelings. :o

I make toilets, does this mean if I open up a toilet shop I could make a killing?

I don't know perhaps toilets for some into realism and going might want a need hud with special devices to use like toilets, food,etc...but I think majority wouldn't.
Depends really, by the time I got here I was bit burned out by having to attend to those things in a game but sometimes it would be fun in limited amounts in a role play environment.

As for other various commentary,
I wouldn't say there is a high percentage of teen players in TSO. When I first came to SL I noticed the demographics seemed very similar. Lots of bored housewives and shut ins, plenty of folks using the place as an online dating service, lots of cyber sex enthusiasts, and many people who's real lives are simply not as exciting for whatever reason and thus we hang out here. Sprinkle in some creative types who are here to be uhh, creative and artistic and stuff, and the entrepreneur folks who figured out how to make real money, and the majority who are here just to bullshit with their online buddies, and we have the SL melting pot that we spend our time in. You afraid of a teen invasion?? Wtf? They got their own friggin grid! At least the TSO players are used to the overblown chatroom concept. After the initial newbie phase they should blend right in. The last big influx of population came after the media started clueing in the general public, who had no idea what the hell we were doing in here and just figured we were Anshe Chungs and porn aficionados. We ended up with disgruntled wannabe Chungs who quickly bailed out, and porn enthusiasts who keep leaving plywood cubes on my lawn. I welcome the TSO community. *waves!

Hmm long Lunches, I wish I got lunches at all some days, "sorry no lunch till you get main production line fixed", "you want 15min to replace a faulty part, no, sorry the lines not stopping till lunchtime",<11pm phone call>"oh this is broken you'll need to come in at 4am before the shift starts at 6am to fix it"
Hmm now if someone had said they earn $600L from a week of creating stuff I'd be sad for them but envious that their weeks work of creation paid more than most of mine ever have :)
We are basically encouraging a society of campers, there's only limited money in actually creating anything, so it's like people in RL who find they are better off at home playing X-Box all day on Govco handouts than working their butts off for little reward.
