I had obtained a free Mysti-Tool a while back, and had really not had an occasion where I used it... several of my friends use them all the time and think nothing of it. I would like to know what all the functions and benefits are on the Mysti-Tool...anyone?

Hi GraphicGuru! There's a gigantic note card in the shop that tells you what all the features are and what ones were taken out of the freebie. and if you click the notecard button in the mystitool menu it gives you a note card with all the things you can do and more notecards inside that one with all the details. It is like a novel but good reading if you really want to know what it can do!

if wearing the tool you can usually say !list and get a command list There is a toy called multitool that works like that. Mystitool's help command is /1 help and then you can do something like /1 emote help to get more but there is stuff in the notecard that the help doesn't print |

Let me throw some reading material out.
Here is a blog that gives an abrieviated list and a little description of what it is. http://honeywendt.blogspot.com/2007/01/mystitool-best-thingy-in-sl.html Or, you could try the blurb on SLX http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?ItemID=120285&file=item&name=Marketplace Hope it helps |

I recently bought the full version, well, because I'm addicted to gadgets of any description, but I have to say that I love the Mystitool, my favourite feature being the sky platform...great for when you're building in a sandbox and you need a little privacy. I know that there are heaps more features on it like posing stands, emotes, tp history, a 'mimic' feature, not exactly sure about that one yet as I've never tried it, privacy features, 'defense' features.....the list is absolutely endless and I haven't even begun to go through them all...but from what I can see, it's pretty reasonable compared to other similar items and it is a lot of fun to use. I'm not sure what features the 'free' one has compared to the full version though....
By the way, it's great that you get so many invites to places..... I don't get any... So I tend to get a lot of 'notecard' reading' done.....lol |

I use it from time to time to make inanimate objects talk for a laugh. The TP Hsistory an favorites in the full version make it worth every linden in its all-too-low price. Mari _____________________

Had heard of mystitool, where can i buy one? and the approximate cost? Thanks Do a search in game for Mistitool. or Search people for mysticalcookie -- she is the author. Her profile is bound to have at least one tp link or Use the SLexchange site to find and buy the tool. I posted the the URL above. or stolen from the SLX site -- >"You may also see and purchase this product in-world at my store in Blumfield (26, 147, 29 "cost is L$423 on SLX or (IIRC) L$394 in game. |

I went and picked one of these up yesterday, partly in hopes to see how the illuminate featuer worked since I am on the hunt for a GOOD face light. (One that doesnt like the world and was built right to prevent shadows etc). However, I took one look at the notecard and almost fell over. I need to sit and read through it too! It looks like it has a ton of awesomely fun features.

Thats what I was afraid of...no sooner do I log in-world and I get a barage of IM's of social events and dances to attend to (Of which I really like to attend to)... no quiet reading time for me...maybe I should log in under my alt! You can always print out the notecard and read it over while relaxing in a bath, (RL of course). |

The MystiTool is godlike. I and my alts wear it at all times.
And we use about 1/20 of its full capabilities. It's just nice to have flight assist, av radar, and platform rezzers all in one place. Mimic is fun for spooking newbies, but doesn't work on veterans. ![]() _____________________

hi .I've had one for a while its great don't worry too much about the note card because once its on your screen and you click it , pretty much explains itself.the sky platform is great you can pay as much just for one of these alone

I can chuck some info at your alt if you want Graph Im sure i still have tonnes of the notecards and class notes etc lol. I went straight for the full version so im not sure what is on the freebie one. I don't mind giving you a quick tour of it though. There are a few things which you have to see first person, but the sky platform you have seen, and the follow chair etc.
I started a thread about the mysti-tool before I bought one, it might have some useful info in there for you. /327/a5/227532/1.html I don't think there was a single bad comment about it. Definitely worth the price. I think mine was about 400?L (very rough estimate). I never take it off unless I am Marvin. Even my alt has the freebie version. _____________________

I love the TP history! That alone makes it worth it to buy the full version Mystitool!
Off the top of my head: Sky platform rezzers TP History Land tools at button clicks (Haven't used it yet.) Emoter Mimic come to think of it the only thing this tool doesn't seem to do is.. take the place of the AO or does it and I somehow missed it in the novella called La Manual? It usually takes me several readings to catch everything in a book ![]() _____________________

It usually takes me several readings to catch everything in a book ![]() No, there isn't a full AO built in, but you can manually trigger the standard anims and any others you drag into the HUD's inventory with /1 anim foo. Someone was selling an add-on that will stuff a ZHAO-II into Mystitool, and I'm fairly sure that a free one will be coming along soon. [ edit to add: this is the plugin for sale: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=479095 not sure when the free equivalent will show its face. ] |

And no, I don't know Mystical Cookie outside of having bought MystiTool! ![]() I do like the platform rezzer, one time I flew up a few hundred metres in sandbox, rezzed the thing, and start playing around with builds. Next thing I know, green dots starting congregating underneath it, only about three or four, maybe for the shade? ![]() Other B. |
