The operative word there is "said". Possibly it's true, but it's equally possible that Blondin's repeated threats to crack down on Adult places that didn't bother to move are finally amounting to something real, and your erstwhile neighbors prefer to say "we got offered something to sweeten the deal" rather than "we missed out on the deal because we thought we could get away with cheating and now we've got to move at our own expense cos otherwise we'll be in deep trouble." |

oh no, we talked to them and the people they sold the mature land to, it happened. No doubt about it, and it happened in less than a week from the time they had to move the club.

From: cinda Hoodoo So the deal must be still on, id like to contact whomever is making those deals and find a nice place in zindra, and either sell what we have in the mainland, and or sell zindra and keep what we have, either way, its one heck of a way to clear some fast profit. If you sell the land in Zindra and keep your adult business on Mature mainland, it sounds a lot like fraud. |

What's exceptional here isn't the bit about being able to sell the Mature land after moving. Rather, it's that they were allowed in on the swap at all, something like three months after the whole affair was supposed to have concluded. Selling the Zindra land instead of the Mature that was "swapped" would definitely raise some Linden eyebrows if it came to their attention. During the swap, resale of Zindra land was forbidden... I forget the exact timeline but IIRC the swaps had all been completed for a few weeks and they were about to start auctions before resale was allowed; before that, a Linden would just come out and take any For Sale land off the market.

If you agreed to abandon your old land, your tier did not go up and you could keep both for the duration of the transition. If you kept the old land you immediately tiered up to cover the cost of both lands. Someone could whip out the math and tell you the berak even point and when to keep or when to abandon based on the hind-sight price of mature mainland but I will leave that to someone else. You can cry "unfair" about a dozen things but the only real atrocity of the whole affair was the forcible evection the affected people suffered. |
