Just wondered how you see it... What means more to you - your first or your second life ?
Do you wish to be sucked in your screen or do you wish to be able to get out of sl...
Do you wish you could transfer sl to rl or the other way ?

I wish I could transfer the Appearance sliders to RL. Oh, and that I had the real world equivalent of Ann's shopping budget.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

It depends on when you ask - there's days when I wish I could escape into SL and live there for a while, but that's just part of real life - sometimes it sucks. Overall, I try not to really idstinguish between the two. Second Life (tm) is part of my real life, just like fishing, poker, work and everything else is part of my real life. It's just one branch of my life.

As for transferring one to the other, I wouldn't transferring the ability to defy the laws of physics to RL. That would be pretty fun. I could fly around, teleport back and forth, and fall off really tall buildings without getting hurt. Not bad skills.

If I got sucked into my screen with my luck I would be ruthed and 2ndL had just lost my inventory and all of my $L.

At the moment, SL is a part of my RL for a few hours here and there.
There is no 'other' life than the one you're living. It would be nice to have some of the capabilities found in SL - teleporting, rezzing, dancing, flying - but I wouldn't trade them for my senses of smell, touch and taste.

That's it exactly.

Oh - and dancing is a good one. I'd like to be able to dance. I'm quite good at it in SL, but in RL...eeesh. It's pretty awful. Think of a three-legged rhino having a grand mal seizure.

SL is a pleasant diversion, an hour or two of entertainmnet. That's all I want from it.

What is this "rl" thing? Is it a new competitor for sl™?

My World, My Imagination.

ok, I didn't mean it like THAT, but your interpretation is both funnier and much more flattering, so I'm adopting it.

Hard to say really. Naturally RL take presedence over SL on many many levels, but on some Levels SL means alot as well. SL is where I met my girl, and have made alot of good friends. It provides a nice escape from the overly structed crap that is my current life (2 more days to go!)

I owe alot to SL, but at the same time I try to not let it take over my life. If there was a way I could combine the two I'd prolly do it though. Take all my friends, my favorite places and pull them out into the RL... and of course the best part of SL is it gives me an almost physical way to be with my girl even though we are currently forced to be far apart.

Wow.... scary that this has to asked. LOL

My first life is light years more important to me than SL. That isn't to say it doesn't hold a lot of weight .... it's something I do for fun and it's value is in a league all it's own so I take great pains to maintain my 2ndLife and continue enjoying it.

But.....when I am away from SL for any amount if time.... doing RL things that I enjoy....like say.....holidays with the fam....or time away with my honey.......or a good dinner out with friends.......I am hardly concerned with 2ndLife or anything happening with-in the network. The ONLY thing of value that truly matters in my 1stLife are the handful of friends I have made here in the past year. To me......how we met is inconsequential to what those people have become to me. They matter......as any living breathing human being in my heart matters. For that.....2ndLife carries a lot of significance and it's important to me that I'm able to keep those friends in my "Life".... Life, being an all emcompassing term.

Well I am pretty happy with my RL. But this place is a part of it now, I would miss it and my friends I have met dearly if it was not. I enjoy coming on late at night when things are settled down from my day. As long as I keep that in check I can keep a great balance of the 2 not getting burned out on either. :)

My real life ofcourse. Nothing would mean more in SL than my RL family. I could walk away from SL anytime. i could/would never do that in RL unless I was forced.(death, jail, giant aliens abducting me...)

Well obviously I could not have a SL™ with out a RL♥. Having said that. Who wouldn’t want to live the life of a Second Life® avatar?

I'd buy the book in a second (the measure of time, not the life - LL can't possibly trademark seconds.) Actually, I'd buy it for others as well. I know some people who really need to work on their sliders. Yeesh.

OTOH, if I had to choose, I'd stay fat and ugly and take flying and tp'ing any day of the week. Where would I like to be this weekend? Hmmm...The Bahamas are nice this time of year. BAM, I'm there. Maybe I'll fly around the Sierras instead. I've always wanted to visit Australia or the UK...
