Brilliant! Isn't Waterhead a Welcome Area like Ahern though? Sure says so in search and on a few signs there. =)

Mount Gnal on the map is actually Mount G'al. We used to throw newbie sacrafices into it back when it still worked. Otherwise very nice map!

Technically, Luskwood is Lusk, Perry and about 7/8ths of Clara. Until this year, I had no idea that the old continent was named Sansara, and almost all of my land is located there.

From: Teeny Leviathan Until this year, I had no idea that the old continent was named Sansara, and almost all of my land is located there. It is not an official name for the continent. Sansara is one of the names LL considered giving to SL as a whole (instead of "Second Life" , and knowing this, at some point residents starting using it as a name for the old continent. I think it got kind of set in stone when Dyne Talamasca used it on her world map, but LL has never (to my knowledge, and I've looked) acknowledged it as official.

Okay--I've taken all the suggestions in this thread. Thank you all very much. Here is an updated map of Sansara and Heterocera. 09.23.07 Version Fixes: Replaced crashed sims in Sandbox Area. Corrected spelling of "Abbotts". Corrected spelling of "Governor's". Corrected spelling of "G'al". "InfoHub" capitalization standardized. Waterhead InfoHub changed to Waterhead Welcome Area. Islandia regions specified as "North Islandia" and "South Islandia". Reduced size of Campus Second Life; added Linden Village Annex. Additions: Added Mocha Cathedral Added Brown & Boardman sims Added Columbia Crash Site Added Mohrr Crash Site Added Teen Grid Transfer Station Added Sutherland Dam Added Vehicle Sandbox Added Oak Grove Stage Added Stillman Bazaar Added Tenera Volunteer HQ Added Sansara SLRR Added "i", "N", and "!" Icons Added more region names: Coast Town, Lost Lakes, Hidden Lakes, & Nuba To Do: Add Heterocera SLRR line Please comment and critique. I'm almost there, I think...

Okay--fixed those two errors. I also put a slight border around the smaller fonts to make them a bit bolder.

One last thing, Carl. May sound nuts now, but... put a date on it. People may be veeeery interested in this map 20 years from now. Just saying. Looks historic to me.

I wonder why LLs are so negligent to their own maps, they don't even care to name the 6 continents (except for one of the newest) .

First--thanks to everyone for all the nice comments. I appreciate them, especially after the weekend I've had at NCI Second--I already see a few updates I need to add to this map. I would like to trace the route of the Heterocera SLRR and put dots in for the stations. Third--Though I developed this map for NCI, anyone is welcome to take copies and put them anywhere they like. I would ask that you try to use the latest version if possible. I will be posting any updates to the forums and at the NCI campuses. You can also contact me inworld for a 1024x1024 TGA of the latest version. Fourth--if anyone knows of any interesting, historic, or help sites I've left off--or if I've missed any named regions--please let me know. Lastly--I'd like to do some more SL maps like this, though, of course time is limited. I enjoy maps and mapping. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again for all the kind words.

I will be posting any updates to the forums and at the NCI campuses. You can also contact me inworld for a 1024x1024 TGA of the latest version. First-Is NCI going to put up a place to distribute the maps as they update? If so, can you give sim and co-ords, or SLURL? Second-I already took and uploaded the map from here to in-world. It's posted on my home, which doubles as my in-world office. As I have a Newbie Information Station on my land, would you like me to add the map to this for handing out to newbies? Third-With the thought of updating, perhaps one of our resident forum scriptors/vendors can help with an auto-updator for the map. Something where a person can just click it, or just rez it, to check for updates? I know it's possible (I have several items that do this), but I'll be darned if I know how to script it. ~Jessy
