Well lets see a defictive security system warrents a im to the perosn to fix it, then maybe further action if they do not.

The picture, tresspassing etc, well that is griefing plain and simple.

Tresssspassssing? Wake up.. this is a computer screen you are staring into..and a Home Paranoia System zero delay TP home from Public land as well as neighbors land justifies AR, which is just silly over what obviously was ignorance on the OP's part, not that we are not all often ignorant when it comes to this technology stuff...

Well gee, maybe THAT person could have invested the time he spent pulling that lame stunt into IM'ing me so that I could adjust my system.

actually that person might be super fast at snap and upload and making prim and making script that gives detailed messages.. maybe he is a Prim Artist of sorts and all that took less time than writing this post. Did you click the picture to see if it gave you a funny message of sorts? Maybe he shared a secret recipe for how to make Sugar Omlettes?

and...

HAHAHAH @ a PS contest.. maybe somebody needs to cough up some serious Prize Money... and the Evil Doer will contribute the original picture lol

you can use the SLX forums - that place is already a funnchop, just make sure you don't say anything about any of the relatives and friends of the people running it, and the top Paying merchants or they will get rid of you.

It can happen, the sensor range is a perfect circle so overlap is almost guaranteed. Most systems will just spam you to death with the "get lost "Dialog messages , but some are more aggresssively scripted.

A 0 time delay for TP is not allowed in any case.

The quality systems (like over L$550) will stop at property boundaries regardless of range. Mine is set at 96m scan range and is near the property line...no problem.

They should all do that, regardless of cost. If the avatar is llOverMyLand(), deal with it, otherwise leave it alone.

Can I just say that I find ban lines preferable to security orbs? At least those, you bounce into and can merely change direction. The orbs, you have no idea whose land is doing it, if you are flying over a grid (even at say 100 feet) and I hate the strong wording. MOST of the time someone tripping off one of those things is an accident - and a LOT of the time, the orb is configured wrongly. So it isn't even the 'offender's' fault.

At least you can't even see a ban line til you are on top of it, and then all it does is bump your av's head a little. Big deal. It doesn't send you clear off the grid.

At the least I think all of those orbs should give at least 20 seconds to turn around, especially considering the av has to figure out which way to turn to not set the thing off again.

I do still think it was trespassing for the person to get into the other person's house though, when clearly that's not wanted, (it would be trespassing to stand in someone else's house, anyway; common sense; but come on they have an orb). It's also griefing to have that huge pic facing their house. But then I think placing a huge mountain blocking someone's view to force a land sale or price drop is griefing too, and people do that legally also.

Fighting fire with fire or silly pic with silly pic, in this case, might break the tension. Who knows. The neighbor who was being sent home by the orb, should have let the person know by IM or note card what was going on with the orb but that would've been too sensible and too many people love to go to a showdown from the get-go these days.
