When I first started SL I heard that "camping" was all the rage and a lot of people used camping to make some extra money. So, I figured that I would open up a campground or trailer park type thing. After a week or so of learning some basic building skills I went about making some nice tents that I figured I could rent out to all these people who like camping. LOL..OMG did I ever feel dumb when it was pointed out to me that "I" had to PAY the campers to stay there. Needless to say, the campground wasn't a very good idea.  zg |

I make a point of forgetting my failures quickly, so I can enjoy them over and over again. Wheee!
The most visually spectacular failure, from my point of view, was when I was working on a physical 20x20 ferris wheel, fine tuning the force without remembering that the apparantly round wheel was an alpha texture, and that it was a corner hitting the gound keeping it from turning. Whilst sitting on one of the seats, of course. Well, it jumped the axel housing and I spun wildly out of control until it came to rest 3 or 4 sims away.
That was quite a ride, a bit dizzying though.
I never did figure out how to rotate the av for that. If anyone helps me figure it out, SL gets another fun freebie!

/me looks confused ... oh yes. They're called "furmeets", according to my furry friends. Just like there are Gorean RP communities outside of SL.

Lolllllllllllllll too funny......but then day one in sl how many of us try having conversations with people gardening, sweeping, painting etc and thinking how rude they never reply!!! and who decided camping was a good name to use to earn cash in SL?
