I'd also suggest that you ring their doorbell and run but they currently they don't have a door.
LMAO - nice one!

Thanks! I did give him the transaction number and the time it was posted. He was not impressed or interested in that. It was at that point that he started repeating, "Where's the money?" and "It's still our parcel until we get the money, so get your stuff off"

ban them. mute them. keep putting your stuff out. they will feel like idiots when the money shows up tomorrow.

Since it's your land now, if they set foot on it, you can also freeze them, quickly dress them up in funny costumes, take screenshots, and then eject them.

One other suggestion is to give them a link to this thread. I'd be interested in seeing if they would post in it after reading it (if they did, which I doubt). After that I'd still ban and mute.

If they claim they did not get the money, they should contact LL. Ignore them, and if they annoy you ban/mute them.

Don't feel bad. The money is likely there, just the normal LL database problems.

Go about your business and forget they even exist. If they harass you, Abuse Report them.

Whatever you do, don't forget to set your auto-return and to turn off push! Definitely don't forget the auto-return, though. It's the second most important tool for any land owner.. the first being the ban-stick ;)

No, they are claiming that they didn't get the money. Like I said, it shows on my transaction history, so I definitely paid it. They are claiming that I "stole it", as if to imply that I manipulated the system somehow.

Its not possible for you to have "stole it", if they did no get thier money they need to turn in a support ticket to Linden Labs. If they had the land set to group its entirely possible the money is being delayed as payments to group are only processed once every 24 hours or so.

Based on what you have told us, its NOT your problem.

Just a note: since it was group owned land, the funds will likely be disbursed evenly between all the group members (unless the owner of said group actually had the foresight to correct that in the group member abilities)

Since these folks are unaware of how long it takes for their funds to show up, they'll also in all probability freak out that they didn't get the "full" price of the land paid to them (unless they take a moment to compare notes, and tally up all the funds to find they actually sum up correctly)

So, there may be more (unjustified) accusations to follow...

I was just about to say that. If they are not group savvy, I wonder if the accounting abilities and permissions has been taken care of properly in the group info and if not they may show up demanding that you own only half of the land...! Explain to them that the land was group owned and to have a chat with each other maybe to see who got what...

Further developments:
I noticed this morning that they had rezzed a large box on the land. I returned this and made the proper adjustments so that it wouldn't happen again. I have banned both of them from my land. I did notice that they were lurking about this morning trying to get on to my land.

When they discover that it's all been down to their lack of knowledge, I bet they won't apologies to you. What's the betting?

hehe

yes, they'll most likely slink off.

Davy, you did nothing wrong it sounds like. Group land dividends get paid out the following day typically. But seeingas how there was a rolling restart yesterday, there may be some other complications to them getting their money.

For them to come out and say that you don't own it until they get their money is just plain ludicrous.

Tell them they should have read up on group owned land before they went and created it.

However, if it has beena couple days now and they still have not recieved payment, they should contact LL about it...not you.

enjoy :-)
