Help needed with appendage (please?)

Well, so far I have been the only one to take her up on her challenge. She is a pretty tough critic. But if she approves, you can proudly wear the "Carli Certified To Match" Tag.

OK, Sandy, funny story to make you feel less embarrassed.

This hearkens back to when my SL guy got his first scripted man bits. It was fairly early in our relationship, I popped inworld and YAY he was there! So I walked into our house, but before I opened the door he was IMing me, saying, "It's not what it looks like!"

See, he had trouble with them ... they wouldn't, um, go thru the usual stages of man-bit-working, and he had IM'd support. It was a newer company, so "support" showed up immediately in PERSON to help!

"Support" was a very cute female avie wearing suspenders, no shirt, cutoffs, curlers, and a welding getup. Complete with flaming torch, tank and mask. And, of course, also wearing his man bits, to debug them.

I had no idea what this DID look like, but I managed to take pictures!

And laugh of course. I laughed a LOT. So did she.

So it could be worse.

/me is mighty intrigued...but, where IS that tag?

I guess you will just have to inspect me sometime.

Hopefully they learn when they see how disturbing through, rather than in, looks

Hey, I thought such things were wrapped in plain brown paper wrappers with the words "Not a penis" stamped on it. If the bag has a picture on it, everyone will know you went to the "Dick Store". Then again, you could lie and say you went to the local butcher for non-matching bratwurst.

My naughty bits did come with instructions, and even a whole website to go to for help.

I thought this was a very nice feature in SL. In real life, none of this stuff comes with an operator's manual.

What confused the hell outta me is that my RL nickname is Sandy (thus I ended up with Sands as a last name), and I first thought the OP was....female....until I read this....

*misses the uhm... "bits"... questions that regularly popped up on Live Help . They were always good for a giggle, especially when a Linden took the call *

I have absolutely no idea how to look for female bits, never mind attach them.

One word of warning, your pants don't cover the 'bits' so only wear it if you want to go to a nude beach or using it for what it was intended

That is one of the most important things many newbies don't realise...especially if they also never look at themselves from the front (camera controls=your friend! )
There are also manly bits that you can put into invisimode with a menu...very useful.

I wish I had known about this and any similar places when I was landless. In fact it was one of the main reasons for getting land, so that I would have somewhere to try on skins and stuff.

It seems that appropriate places to do this without causing offence, getting in trouble or getting propositioned are few and far between. Does anybody else know of any good changing room places?- I'd quite like to put a few lm's together in a notecard. I know of one other, at NCI in kuula.

One easy solution is to walk into the nearest body of water.

Add the Forum Hangout as well, we have a changing room. The teleporter requires group membership, but that is easily given.

Underwater propositioning happens too :/

One thing that can give reasonable semi-privacy is to use a flight assist toy and change up a few hundred meters. It's not perfect either, but it does filter out a whole bunch of people who haven't yet learned that you can do this.
