Avillions a great place, make sure you have a good back story and you'll soon find the good RP'ers there. Also don't push it and keep asking "am i in yet", the owners and the ancients really hate that, they already get enough IM's a day. -Crunch _____________________

@Nimue: Thank you, going to go check that out now! I think I'm leaning more towards fantasy (less medieval however,) but these are really hard to find. I don't have any steampunky characters, and some of the futuristic places I find are sex oriented too. Can't win for that. Thank you for your replies everyone |

I'm 'old school' when it comes to Role Play. It must involve dice and pencils & character sheets and lots of beer/mountain dew. LOL! Got my fiancee to try old D&D and she didnt know what to do! Too much freedom!! Heh! Kinda like some people's reaction to SL!! _____________________

October Country started an RP a few months ago....the sim is sort of a haunted motif but the RP is pg and based on Lovecraft type stories. It's a fun sim and their saturday night theme parties are always a blast.
RP is scheduled on sunday nights and though I don't RP, anyone can join and jump into a story line upon request. They're a good group of people and the sim is really well done. http://octobercountry.wordpress.com/ the owners web page....lots of info here. |

There is apparently active Star Wars rp (I've seen it on a number of profiles). Avilion has already been mentioned and the Everwind sims are another Medieval/Elven, etc. area.
Steampunk has been listed as well, but another cheer to Caledon. I just visited the Fatima sims recently and was impressed with what I saw there too. _____________________

Deadwood...you need to join their group and get the 'life meter'..but it's a hoot! Get free clothes at the tp point (it's the gallows but don't worry)....just be in character in the town and you'll be ok..or maybe shot..but that only happens once in a while.or once a week..oh and be careful...there might be scarlet fever in town..

Soon Lestern City will be open (in the Lestern region).
We are currently building, but once done we will be an urban city with fire fighters, police officers, doctors, criminals, druggies, goths etc... I'm not saying sex will definitely not happen, but that's not our main priority in Role Play =] _____________________
