... happens when people burn their last thirty minutes at work on a message board ... er ... last 25 minutes, as there is a limit.

I don't want to be the one to just say a table is wrong ... I remember not being able to spend more than $25 my first month, up until I sent in that support ticket and got it raised.

Ooooo.. I hadn't heard that stuff was busted.. Never mind then.

Patience, Amy.

But if you just can't put off buying that new dress another day, then open an account at XStreetSL (http://www.xstreetsl.com). Then go to your PayPal account and transfer money to yourself at XStreet. Then buy your $L there and transfer them to your avatar's account in world.

Does the same type of thing. There are threads just like this one over there too.

Welcome, Amy! I remember being confused by the limits when I was new, too.

If so, I'm gone...not waiting around for 30 days to be able to play a game
You don't have to wait to play, there are loads of things you can do in SL without spending any money.

Like... freebie hunting! :D There are the usual "freebie places" such as Free Dove and Yadni's (and there are some quite nice things there, for example Tesla shoes), but if you really get into it you can find soooo much more.

Many creators offer one or two promotional freebies or gifts somewhere in their shops, not junky stuff but something good they are introducing as a new product, for example. You just have to be patient and look for them.

Other stuff to do... sailing, racecar driving, ancient ruins, sci-fi, exploring/sightseeing, learn to make your own stuff... if you want some landmarks of interesting things to see/do send me a message in world and I'll send you some. :)

sindy,

not ignoring you lol =P

it's just the table is what i was staring at forever and it didnt make any sense to me. LOL

I understand the limits and all that and why they are there, I just cant figure out how to apply the error message info to what I am seeing in the table.

Like for instance...it says:
Buy L$ - $10.00
Sell L$ - $0.00
Purchase - $25.00

Ok, so I am able to buy 10L$ according to the chart but it wont let me.
I can sell 0.00L$ - not even gonna try to see what error it gives me
I can purchase $25.00 (whatever that means) which I did...The chart makes no mention that you can ONLY do $25.00 cumulative transactions which includes all "buying", "selling", and "purchases" in a given time frame. If it had, I would have "purchased" less than 25.00 and used the rest of my "transaction allotment" to convert those dollars into L$
Amy, sorry to jump in late. I was going through my transaction history and realized that I only have directly bought $25 in L$ since being born on 3/28, so I can't help you there. What I did was go to Xstreetsl as others have suggested and have done most of my shopping there and had the goods delivered in world from the web site. Basically I just didn't have time to shop in world. Same with my alt. Together we've purchased to mainland parcels, houses, toys, clothes and still have L$ left over and I know I've "laundered" upwards of $200 USD through Xstreet. That may get you going for the first couple of weeks? Good luck and welcome to SL. Jackie

You think this whole limit thing is confusing and misleading.......

Take just 5 minutes and consider buying land or even your own full sim, and soon you'll want to commit Lindocide grid wide, lmao.
