Wanna know my correspondence history with LL?
When i have sent a ticket i've got an answer:

"Comment (s): Hello Warg Foggarty,
Thank you for contacting Linden Labs Support.
Thank you for contacting us about this issue you are experiencing. In order to better diagnose the problem we need to know some information regarding your computers hardware and software configuration. Could you please:
Click on the Start button and select Run.
In the Open text box, enter "dxdiag" and click OK.
In the DxDiag window, click on the "save all information" button
Attach the text file to your reply.
Could you please also attach a copy of your SecondLife.log file which can be typically found in C: / documents and settings / Your username / application data / second life / logs
Please take a copy of this file immediately after the error occurs and you have closed the viewer software.
If you are not using Windows XP, please let us know and we can send these instructions for your chosen operating system.
Best regards

Any other suggestions?

Hallo!
I have been getting this error message about no sim connection too... for about 2 weeks now :( only with my main account, my alt works no problem.

I have tried logging in from different computers (even in different countries!) and nothing...

I sent a support ticket about it to LL with the reply that as a basic account holder I am not eligible for this level of support... wtf? (sorry!).

Trying different sims has also not worked for me :(

I am really at a loss as to what is causing this and what to do. Any really helpful ideas out there?

I know there are sims in sl where LL employees talk with residents. Once i was in one of that sim, but didn't keep a landmark. I have opened the new thread in forum: *Resident Answers>The chat with Linden employees. Where? When?* But others who have written there think i am a full idiot and ass :(

Warg, have you re-opened your original support ticket? That is the best thing to do as they will then have access to the full history of your problem.

If you want to talk to a Linden inworld on your alt account, use the url which Marianne gave you in the other thread. That is a list of where and when you can talk to them, but I suspect they will just direct you back to the support system.

good luck!

Warg, now you indeed speak like a true idiot and ass.

In the other thread, you were given the most helpful answer in the very first reply - a link to a time chart and meeting places, and that was exactly what you wanted. In case you expected some user to copy/paste that info for you because you are too lazy to follow a link, well, tough luck. Even First Life doesn't work that way, honey.

You know, it does sound like Second Life is too advanced for you.. perhaps if you return to Sims Online - but easier for you to handle.

Well, you need to really read the replies there. The URL for the wiki office hours page was supplied... but also the advice that these office hours "where LL employees talk with residents" are for broader topics than support to an individual resident--and in fact some of those employees are actually *forbidden* in their specific job to provide support. (That may sound like bad customer service, but in these cases it's really quite the opposite: these Lindens could probably fix any problem, but their time really is so valuable that they just need to be working on things that benefit everyone.)

Anyway, I'll suggest something to try (even though I can't figure out how what you're experiencing can be caused by what this will fix). Remove the folder that's specific to the avatar account that's causing trouble. Assuming you're on XP (also assumed in the Linden response @ #26), you should find it in C:\Documents and Settings\your Windows username\Application Data\SecondLife\Warg_Foggarty. Just delete that whole folder and SL will rebuild it the next time you login. It will forget all your avatar-specific preferences and make you click through confirmation dialogs as if you were brand new, but all the important stuff (e.g., Inventory) is stored on the servers.

(Why suggest such a thing? Well, another account on the same client machine is working, per #8, so it's unlikely to be network. And @ #7 it's reported to fail regardless of login region. This is the only account-specific information stored viewer-side. I suppose it could be some weird case of Inventory corruption, or something else server-side and account-specific, but it seems a strange error message for that. And yet that seems the only explanation for Dari's problem @ #27, since it fails on different computers, presumably with wholly different account-specific viewer-side information.)

At last a suggestion that looks like it might help, I have absolutely no other ideas so I will try later when I get in! I have been "conversing" with LL support via my ticket... they sent me a "problem solved" message saying again that it must be my router/firewall blocking my pc or something... which as you and everyone else I've talked to correctly say can't be the case. So I reopened the ticket asking them to explain why only ONE ACCOUNT isn't working - looking forward to the answer to that one. I do certainly get the impression LL isn't even properly reading what I have been telling them though :(

Unfortunately, Dari, I suspect this won't help you, because you reported the same problem on different computers, which presumably have completely different avatar-specific local files. It's just possible it may help the OP in this case, but it's probably more likely that their problem is the same as yours--whatever that may be. If I had to guess, I'd imagine a corrupted Inventory is triggering a very misleading error message at login. Anyway, it's one more thing to tell Support has already already tried, and may get them to focus on the server side of the account where I suspect the real problem is.

Warg - I am German. English is not my native language. And if you don't want to follow a link, then yes, that IS too lazy.

Sure Second Life is too advanced for me. Not for you ofcourse. You like crashes, lags or ready to lose your account just because LL dont want to add one more server or do something else

Oh, and by the way? Saying "I suck at English!" is no excuse for dismissing the time table you were given. Times, sim names and Linden employee names are pretty much the same in every language.

Well, you did, actually. You blamed struggling with vocabulary for not being able to follow a link. Honestly, from what I see here, your English is basic, but should be more than enough in this case.

You did load the Wiki page then and saw that most of it consists of just time tables, right?

Seriously? I doubt that. You don't strike me as the important type.

Then please stop teach me what have i be. I can't not to be rude to them who are rude to me. One says me I am suck at English and therefore i am lazy. I would know does he can speak some other language except english? I think no. Could he after one year he started to learn other language easy read that many different rules, endless instructions or understand that bla bla bla in video tutorials? I guess no. So who is lazy? I think that people who say: all world speaks in english, why i have to know other language?

If you were ghosted online, llRequestAgentData would normally show you as online and in just checking, it shows you offline - have you tried to login recently? As it seems you've tried all the usual methods to get around the issue, you might want to consider biting the bullet and temporarily signing up for premium membership. The support options will increase and you do a live chat for support.
