I think Calling Cards are being phased out. I'm not sure if I'm correct or not but it is a big unnecessary database hit.

Well I accept a few noobs requests and help them out for a bit , then they all sem to find their own circle of friends and don't ask for help, I drop them after a few months.
I clear them from calling cards too, actually I only keep calling cards of really close friends and my alts as it is a good second way to contact them when friends list is down. I would like if calling cards were transferable, I often want to give someone another residents name to contact about something but can't just drag their calling card over.

If I ad a friend and seldom hear from them, they don't seem to have much time to talk or just something doesn't feel right when talking to them I remove them.
If they wrote and wanted to talk I will be friendly unless I was busy.
I befriend any one who wants to be my friend but it doesn't mean I keep them there forever.
Reminds me to go on friend list cleaning soon.
