Eyesores and bans

I work with a Japanese community called Little Yoshiwara. Sometime ago I brought a plot of land there and build a nice simple Japanese house to fit into the theme of the place. Other people came and did the same. Up until resently. A plot of land was sold next door to me and Red banline where visible. Also different assorted trash littered the lot. The owner of Little Yoshiwara and a friend of mines both asked politely to remove the banline and trash. but the new owner refused.
In real life there are homeowner associations to protect against this. I was wondering if there anything I can do. We tried being polite, and got back rudeness, but the eyesores of banline and trash caused me to put up a wall. Which caused the neighbor to go more inssne with the trash.
Any suggestions would be nice.

Your post is a bit confusing. You state "The owner of Little Yoshiwara and a friend of mines both asked politely to remove the banline and trash. but the new owner refused."
Is Little Yoshiwara an estate or is it mainland? If it is an estate and the owner doesn't like the new tenant, then they can simply refund their rent payment and send them away.
If it is mainland then you have a very different problem.

It's mainland. LIttle Yoshiwara owns all of a sim, and the lands in question mines and the baka neighbor is in sim next to the japanese sim, also mainland. Since I worlk there I built my land with a japanese theme, and so did several of my friends that did the same. Which we built walkways and flowing gardens into each other land. However the neighbor now is spoiling this with junk and being quiet rude.

Probably not much you can do if the property is mainland AND the offending property is in a different sim. No TOS violations as far as I can see from the information you provided. Just the hazards of living on mainland

If it's an estate with a covenant and the covenant forbids banlines you should bring that to the attention of the estate owner. Same thing with, what you call, litter. However, what you call liter may well be something the owner of such litter calls something else. The estate owner can deal with it. You have no control.
If it's on Second Life Mainland then you have no control at all. There are no covennants on Mainland so anyone can basically build whatever they want (absent adult content) and place banlines as they please. Linden Lab will do nothing. Owners of the land on Mainland have complete control over their land and do not have to abide by anyone elses ideas of what those complaining think is ugly, un-neighborly or litter. You'll just have to learn to live with it or move.

Tough it out until they leave.
Sometimes that happens surprisingly quickly.

I have some half-invisiprim half-transparent panels I made for a similar problem. They'll hide the banlines and likely most of the clutter as well, but they will also hide things like trees and avatars and clouds... looking through them you pretty much only see the ground.

Not much you can do in your situation being on mainland but the only piece of advice I might be able to provide is you can go into your View menu > and uncheck banlines and you won't see the red sticky tape.

The walls should help. Welcome to living on the mainland.

Sometimes that happens surprisingly quickly. This works!! I've been at the same spots since.... Heck, I dont remember when, and annoying neighbors have come & gone. Just wait them out. You'd be surprised how fast some neighbors leave.

Put up some Japanese cherry trees. It's a sad fact about the mainland, but there's nothing you can do. I wish they would ban ban lines. I'd rather they only appeared if you ran into them.

Simple fact is its there land they can do as they please. What they have on their you may think is an eyesore but they must not so unless you tough it out or offer to buy him out not alot you can do,

Since this evening's griefing of my land I am all for banning, banlines, freezing, ejecting and ARing. It's like my space being violated andmy "stage" being compromised. I am gonna buy the most powerful sl equipmen I can to eliminate trespassers.

Because 3 current banline threads aren't enough. LOL (alts?)
No but sorry there isn't much that can be done, unless they are disturbing the peace somehow, such as with noise or particles, or their prims go onto your land, past your borders.
If the prims belong to someone else, a squatter, and the land seems abandoned, you can try to ask a staff member to do something about getting rid of the prims but only if the landowner did not put them there.
As far as ugly builds, clutter, and ban lines, those are allowed.
Kind of like the bad neighbor in real life, in a non gated community, who decides to put up a rusty fence and park cars on their lawn. Not much one can do. Sorry.

Allow them to set their Home on your land and set it to damage-enabled. They'll soon sort out any wannabee terrorists for you.

When I'm out and about exploring, i both do not want to see them and want to see them from miles ahead... they are ugly as hell, but even worse when you run into one on your sailboat because you saw the f*kn line too late :/ jira entry: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-15171

Don't recall which one, maybe someone else can help with this. The On/off swittch is a huge improvement already for the small parcel holder. Can only be better on what is for aviators, sailors and motorists if the size and viewable distance of banlines could be adjusted in the viewer as a personal preference.

Wait - in the new viewer ban lines do not appear if you set them not to.
Right?
