If the Regency period can be stretched to cover 15 years before and after the actual Regency, why not?

I mean, you know, it's like the '60s really started around 1965 and didn't end until Watergate.

Shelley kinda slips in a bit awkwardly. She was born at the end of teh 18th century and (artistically) lived in teh Lakeland/Romantic/Gothic period. Yes, she predates Victoria but she foreshadows teh Victorian "indulgence" in the macabre and morbid (and laudanum). Its really hard to slot any writer into a specific era. Her major novel is really not the "true" Gothic of Ann Radcliffe and "Monk" Lewis. She pushes teh envelope into teh Victorian age and her novel was popular in that time.

My Dad (a Carnaby Street "Bright" young "star";) said that teh sixties really began with Kerouac's "On the Road" and "Dharma Bums" in teh early/mid 50s. But of course it was the Beatles who reigned in teh 60s. "Hello Goodbye", "Sgt. Pepper". But no doubt others will disagree. My gran/mum and now me wear Mary Quant minis. And I wear my Dad's corduroy jacket which he bought in Carnaby Street in 1967.

They are Neko I think. Its teh dominant gene. Nothign wrong with a bit of fur caught in teh teeth. :)
