Is it illegal to cohabit with a minotaur or a satyr? Is a Neko jail bait?
Mythological Beasts, Furries, Lycanthropes, Lizards and the odd Neko/vampire have all inhabited our world and yes, been attracted to mainstreamers and been desired by "regular" humans. I am curious and uncertain about whether or not its "kosher" - you know what I mean! Should this even concern us - after all we KNOW the satyr is really a human, right- just in a kinda costume. If your lover/partner has a devilish pair of goat horns and a Pan-like laciviousness are you simply "a woman wailing for her demon lover" or getting close to deparavity and breaking "someone's" laws?
There was a thread liek this a while back but I thought I would rekindle those old passions. Besides, I wonder what exactly is going on socially in sl and who approves/disapproves and why. After all, I think this touches on moral issues and our freudian thingies.

As long as the people driving the avatars are consenting adults, what they do, how they do it, and with whom is none of my business.

Anything adults do is between themselves. We all have things which turn us on for reasons which are mysterious and hard to explain. I think with this particular one, it goes back to childhood, and fairy tales. It's forbidden, and a bit scary and yet somewhat enticing and the beast can provide a warm place to lay your head at the end of the night Having said that, the Llama and I do NOT yiff lol. Much to the chagrin of many of you who like to imagine such things and have made jokes to us about it. Never have done it with him in THAT form. It's too wierd with a llama. Seriously There are no llamas in fairy tales lol. Ok, maybe in Peru, but I don't know them

Ditto all the above.
Have a horse, 3 goats, and a chicken if it makes you happy. But my only hold back, is don't expect everyone to accept it, or attempt to force them to accept it. Forced tolerance is just as bad as intolerance.

The 1946 Cocteau version of "La Belle et la Bête." addresses these matters far better than the Disney version. This movie blew me away. I can't recommend it enough. The actor playing the Beast is astonishing. I am wondering, if someone gets a dopamine rush from intimacy with a satyr -- or an octopus, or robot, or pile of nano-goo -- how does this impact me in any way or be the basis for any kind of moral judgement? It is my civic duty to verbally filet officious meddling morality creeps. (Not you, Jig. You are not one of those.) And I say this from the standpoint of someone who is by choice chaste in SL.

I can transform to a minotaur, centaur or satyr and I often do: it never fails to amaze me how those things pull.
As for the morality of it, I don't see the harm in any form of cyber between consenting adults and the fantastic aspect is something that just doesn't happen in RL.

Oh I was NOT judging anything. I was just seeing how ideas values amd such stuff have altered over the year or so since that question was asked. SL moves so rapidly, a year is prolly equivalent of five in reality. Definitely a rush there somehwer Weston - Coleridge recognizes that in "Kubla Khan" and Mary Shelley's Creature in "Frankenstein" is certainly sexual. The Victorians recognized it. Emily Bronte's Heathcliff is more beast than man. Elemental at least.

From: Jig Chippewa After all, I think this touches on moral issues and our freudian thingies. I meant to say that, in my humble opinion, Freud seems to have missed the point about sex, which is that it is one of the most fun things we can do with our clothes on or off. I think his colleague, CG Jung had a much healthier understanding of how the libido drives us completely, not just our neuroses, and not necessarily in a bad way either.

I saw a tigar and a lizard getting it on in a bar once. Is there a rule against inter-species mating? If there is then I'm sorry I didn't AR them because it was a very disturbing site and my therapist just didn't understand.

Some people really do take what folks do in SL a bit too seriously. I was bouncing around some various RP areas, mostly out of curiosity as to what really goes on there (most are really very very lame). Anyway, I popped into a Capture/Forced RP area, and there were also a variety of beasts there, some having sex with humans. A very newbie looking guy, with his huge prim attached, TPd in and a minute later a pretty newb looking girl appeared before him. A few minutes after that she says "omg, they are doing it with animals. get me out of here, please". Apparently she has not quite figured out that she can TP on her own or even click that X in the upper right corner.

And much more fresh and to the point than the original boring and already answered question - is it cheating . . . Pep ( . . . if you do it with an animal/a mythical creature/a robot/a cloud/a disembodied voice/your rl spouse but you didn't know it/yourself?)

From: Jig Chippewa Oh I was NOT judging anything. I knew you weren't. You were raising questions to make us think. It is what you do. And you are correct. This does go back at least to Victorian times and probably even to the dawn of time. The myth of Leda and the Swan comes to mind too and others.
