Gestures that fill the screen with ASCII art might have been impressive in 1983 when home computers were new. Please join the rest of us in the 21st century. ...where we use proportional fonts and quite possibly not 80-character lines. Has it ever occurred to people who use those ASCII art gestures that if you have a local chat window open to follow the history, it's just so much character soup, not even an "impressive" image? |

I keep wanting to reply to the OP with, "The one that is never played..."
 I've recently been playing with the pre-loaded LL /flip gesture. I'm a dork, but it does kinda tickle me. And the other day when I wore a fish avatar, I had a HUD with some flips, spins, and barrel rolls and I tried to work them into the conversation where it was appropriate. I don't really like gestures that fill up the text chat, though I can usually tune out the noisy ones unless they're really obnoxious. _____________________

I hate the things with a passion. Both the sound and the ascii part. If there was an option to mute all gestures on my client, both chat and sound, I'd use it without hesitation.

I've got a few silent one-liners I wrote myself, like, for instance:
***Where am I? What am I doing here? How did I get here?*** But as for the stock growls, rrruubbgaaas and I love that tune oh la la la - they are just tiresome. I was at one club where people were just gesture spamming all the time. But it wasn't like they were griefing, since several people were doing it. _____________________

WAAARK! most artists will never use gestures, not cool, so every now and again when I'm in the middle of a pack of them I will do the WAAARK! gesture, it seems to have stuck as my calling card now.
I use applause and wave too and once in a blue moon some really stupid ones. |
