every person i add to friends list i write how i met them and where and what the subject was about.. at first i didnt do this and after so long i had a friend come up to me and i couldnt recall how i met them or where or why and they got a kick out of it and never would tell me... so if u get alot of friends on your list .witch is easily done.!!! its a good idea to jot down just something enough for u to recall the meeting... :) after all only u are reading it. so it only has to be something u can remember. . then when u meet tom, dick, or chico.. in 4 months from now and they say..... hey sup remember me . u can say ya your the jack... i met in hong kong :D

I've never used it, but I was just thinking, the other day, how many people actually use it. I think it would be really useful for preventing situations where people come up to you and are like "Hey, long time no see!" And you're thinking...who the hell are you?

I use it a lot. When I met them, where I met them, what my first impression was. I update it as needed, if I learn cool things about them. *wink*

I use my own notes tab to keep track of places i want to visit, but don't have LMs for yet. Or if I see an attachment I like on someone, I'll find the creator and write the name down for later research.

Yes absolutely I use it

I use it remind myself of how I met someone.....or in many cases if they've asked for a custom job, I'll detail in the notes so I don't forget. Or, coversely if I contact a creator for help with a notecard, I know chances are they wont get back right away so I'll make a note in their profile, otherwise when they IM me 3 days later and say "how can I help you?" I'll be like...huh? I don't know....how CAN you help me. LOL I just basically use it so I don't forget the things that are important........so many people come and go......it's easy to just totally brain fart on who someone is and why I know them. :o :p

I've only ever put 'my notes' on my own profile, where I write down ideas for things I need to do - especially things I want to make.

When I was new I started to use them, kept extensive notes on how I met the person and the things they were interested in. Then one day I went back to read what I put for a particular person and found that the extensive notes I kept were just gone, so were all the notes I kept for everyone I had calling cards for. After that I never kept any notes again.

I write things totally unrelated to the person whose profile it is. Three R's stuff goes in Mo's, Mo's goes in Gabriele's, Gabriele's goes in Amara's and so on. It makes things interesting.

I use My Notes as an aid to role play. I can keep track of what I know in character about a person.

Marzi

Yay! Another doggie! (Oh -- wait, I'm not a doggie right now.) I almost adopted a dog named Marzipan in RL.
_______________

I use my own note tab as a to do list. I once used other people's note tabs like everyone else to remind me of what they are about or how they interacted with me. I hardly do that any more -- I rarely run into the same people twice except for the forum folks, and I my memory is jogged every day with them.

You make it sound so, so ... sordid. Vamps have to eat too you know, we cannot just pop down to McD's and get a tasty sna...oh wait yes we can, we just have to wait until it finishes it's burger and leaves ;)
