What should I put on my land?

SO, I still own 10km of land (same as I did before), but have essentially nothing on it. On one of the sections up the hill I have a small pond with a couple ducks in it.. but that's about it (And atm a chair and bed I made to see if I could still build.. with happy results)

I know that I'm going to have my house on the hill, with supports on the 'ground' level, and a medium-sized 'park' like area in front of it, with kinda a private yard in the back.

What I'd like to know is what I should put in the public park bit. WHat people would like to see. I can do just about anything really.. atm I have 2000 or so prims left, before my house and such, though that will be rather small.

So what would you like to see?

Oh this sounds very lovely and a good idea to see what ppl like.

1.Maybe a sprinkler garden I love them irl, running through them and you never know when one will just pop up where you are standing.

2.My friends and I like mazes.

3.Another thing I thought was so beautiful was just a simple ray of light streaming through the forest at one place. It had such a realistic effect and it was just so lovely to stand in. I need to figure out how to make that one.

I do love the ray of light thing.. think it would take more space to do well than what I have though.. I think of that taking tons of space, have a whole forest goin on lol..

The maze is viable, I have fun making them (Especially scripted mazes that change all the time)

In SL? Use prims with the water 4.0 (Or w/e) splashableness, and sprinklers, that shrink out of site sometimes, and not other times.. and yeah.. that's how I'd do it I think

lol, though nice, I'll be building (And likely scripting) anything that I put on my land.. I love building and scripting, and almost never buy anything I can't make meself. (I bought a bed to work with a sexgen base once.. cause wasn't sure if there was some special requirement)

What I was thinking was something like my dophin jumping rezzer, instead of a dolphin it would be a water looking prim that shoots up in an arch and then vanishes (temp).

Seriously, tho. What are you wanting tocreate? What is the theme? Romantic? Child-like playfulness? Secluded grotto? Give 3 or 4 adjectives you want some one to use when talking about your place.

Attractive, generally natural, and not insane.. that should help lol (By not insane I mean not alice in wonderland kinda stuff.. I'm helping with a sim doing that atm so don't wanna do another project with it)

ETA:: And no fear, I'll have a couple slowdance things somewhere, even if in my 'private' yard.. I can't resist (My 'private' yard is only private cause it'll be behind the house..)

And make sure the land is damage enabled...

I have a few "theme" areas on my land. I have a farm section with horses in a pasture, pig, goat and chickens in a barnyard setting. I have a peaceful calm garden with crystals, waterfall, and small animals. I have a deer area with a cave and stream. I have an area with a veggie garden, greenhouse and flower gardens. I have a huge pool area with hottub, deck, and diving boards. Also, a pond with ducks, koi etc.
You can do smaller areas of things that interest you.

Me too! That's what made me build those ruins. You can take a walk (and boat rides) around my park, Mt. Trumboji, in the SW quarter of the Starax sim. Maybe it will inspire you to do better than I did! Oh and if YOU think of anything I can do in the empty spaces there, please let ME know!

I love seeing what others have made, and figuring out how I'd do it (Though I never do it.. everything I make for my land is on-the-spot thought up)

How about jungle vegetation, a few monkeys and Macaws (and jungle sounds of course) and lots of swinging vines. Would that be possible? Right click and wear - swing-swing - then try to right click (while moving) a second vine and jump on. The thing is, you would make the scripted vines look like the regular ones, so hard to find. If you find and swing on all the right vines, from start to end, you get 'out' of the jungle. Maze Jungle...

That would be awesome.. and I've made a swingset before, this'd be basically the same thing with a different animation.. sounds fun to try to do!

When I get home I'ma see exactly how much space I have to work with for different parts of my land, and go from there ^_^

Honestly that really draws me in lol.. neko's are always cute to me..always (Even this one guy I know, who made his av insane..in an awesome way.. most consider it ugly, but I think it's a cute cyborg-neko thingy)
