Is this rocket for sale anywhere?
Can't do it any more. Havok 4 has killed all the really cool stuff you can do with llPushObject and llApplyImpulse.

In fact, most of the REALLY cool stuff was nerfed back around SL 1.8. :p

Being completely naked in public must be the most embarrassing thing for most of us.

...The friend who did the deed had sat down on something in the box and was IMing me 'OMG, the box and everyone is gone'. Gone? Yea...apparently we dropped people AND a big box on top of people and the shops below because she made it physical instead of phantom, and it took us a while to figure that out.

See, this is *exactly* why I don't go to shopping malls. :p

When I came back into the room with my computer, I was standing naked with a crowd around me

And I really wish I had been in that crowd! I know your avatar looks like you. Does the skin look like you too (underneath your clothing)?

I bet you do. But you weren't. And my avatar--shape, skin, clothes--looks like me and is me. That is why it was so embarrassing. And that is your answer.

my parner in SL has a bad habbit of going AFK without telling anyone. anyone who knows him knows this is an annoying trait of his. We were club owners at the time so knew everyone in the club, most were staff. We were dancing on stage, half naked at the time and I noticed he hadn't said anything to the crowd in a while so I I'Med him, he didn't reply, grrrr, AFK again. This was a couples dance so I hopped off my part leaving him static on his pose. I took the opportunity to look through my inventory to find silly things to drop and move onto and around his body. In the time that he was AFK standing still on his pose, I placed a flower basket in his hand, a large banana through his head, a grass skirt around his waist, a penis up his butt and one in his mouth.
When he came back he wasn't to impressed but we all had a good giggle. I have a photo of it, but can't do attachements here for some reason. I named it "That'll teach you to go AFK"

Another story. We were doing the ummm partner thing as someone else here called it. and we were in voice while doing it. After we had finished, he fell asleep and I actually heard him snoring (now if thats not realistic, i don't know what is) i didn't know what to do though, whether to get dressed and go exploring or something till he woke up or shout at him to wake up because he still had his headset on lol

I remember one embarassing time when I went to a scripting class.

Time was tight trying to get there, so I asked the teacher for a TP, and I was teleported in right in front of the teacher. Lag city, everything's rezzing pathetically slow, so I stood there just giving things a chance to rez. After five minutes of this I got an IM from one of the other people in the class, asking if I knew that I was wearing ummmm my male attributes? (No, I did not have them attached when I left to go that class) So here I am, standing around proudly displaying what my avatar wasn't originally rezzed with for five straight minutes, totally clueless, and giving the whole class a thrill.

I didn't even bother to stick around after that. Control-Shift-H get me outta here!

Not hiliariously funny, but it was cute at the time.

I have an apartment in the bell tower in Venice Passion, over one of the canals.

One night while I was standing by the window, a friend asked to come over, so I tp'd her.

A moment later, I saw her falling, arms flailing, outside the window.

"What the hell is she doing?" I wondered, and I tp'd her again.

Again I saw her falling through the air, arms flailing. She landed in the canal each time.

Then I realized I had to stand in the middle of my room before sending the tp.

Oh, the giggles...I cant stop giggling at the mental image of this. I've had it happen more than once. I have issues TPing people in, and being TP'd. I've landed inside of walls, behind store displays where there isnt enough space to get out, on top of buildings, and falling through the sky as I landed UNDER a skybox floor once. I dont know how my av manages it. The best one was TPing a friend of mine and having her land on my house, then moving and trying again and having her behind it in the bushes, then under my dock (I moved outside thinking it had to work)...she finally said 'Look, if you dont want me to come over just say so!' Ooooopsie.

Let's see....I tried out the tables at Raffenstein's Lab up near Wengen's. I just wanted to see what they'd do. I'm glad no one was watching and I had the whole place to myself.

I built a vehicle. It's a psychodelic rideable animal, and it is extremely difficult to drive, probably because I don't know thing one about scripting. In the days when Public Townscape had a huge sandbox, I drove that thing into the river numerous times. Then I found a small sandbox in virtual Thailand. This time I drove on to people's porches before landing in the ocean. Lately, I've visited a secret sim where the owner has a whole parking lot full of cars. I tell myself I ought to learn to drive and his parking lot was a great place to practice. Fortunately, avatarot emerge unscathed from car crashes.

Then there is worse. Some joker in Ilha Bella Gomorra put out a "vaso sanitaire" in the middle of the mall. I figured it must be a camping chair. (a comode in Portuguese). I sat on it and photographed myself.

There is even worse. At (Place unmentioned) there is a huge Zyngo Parlor, a small dance floor, and a mousetrap next to the dance floor. I clicked and Take the Cheese was one of the options. I now have a picture of myself squished in half with blood all over the place. I think my poor avi wants to slug me. Fortunately, when I pressed Stand Up, she emerged unscathed.

Oh I just remembered this incident that happened in my first year of SL. I'm quoting from my dust-gathering SLProfiles blog entry:

From: someone
There's an alt I play when I need an escape from Friends lists, or if I want to experiment in roleplay that may be out-of-character for Wildefire. So anyway, I was wandering through one of my favorite sims as "Altie" and ran across an interesting torture device that I thought might look good in one of Wildefire's dungeons. I checked for the creator and opened up her Picks. I saw that she had a store, so I eagerly clicked the Teleport button.

So, I end up at my destination and as things are rezzing, I notice one of my favorite designers standing just a few feet away from me. "Hmm, I didn't know she was into this kinda stuff," I thought, as I continued waiting for things to load. I panned around to discover another one of my favorite designers, and I found this quite odd; I had never heard of this shop before but apparently it was a popular place! Then in area chat, some text scrolled by, uttered by a very well-known SL merchant. I turned around in surprise, and there he stood, saying goodbye to another SLer whose name I'd heard before.

I sheepishly glanced up to my title bar and discovered that I had just ported onto the private property of one of these designers. Apparently the BDSM shop I was looking for had moved! There stood my alt- embarrassingly dressed, with a silly, embarrassing name, and a very embarrassing group title over my head. Oh and of course I was fully decked-out in items both designed and sold by the very people whose party I'd inadvertently crashed. I was mortified.

Dumbfounded, I scrambled for the Search menu and started looking for someplace- any place else to go. I was so nervous I kept mistyping searches, and finally I just selected the first mature sim on the list and ported the hell out of there. Naturally, within seconds I had thought of numerous brilliant and funny things I could have said at the time, to sort of bow out gracefully... but it was too late for that.

First land I owned, was editing the land, decided I didn't like what I did and figured the 'revert land' button would take care of the mess.

Next hour was a learning experience as I rebuilt the island from below the water line up...

Oh yes, and don't forget to check what you have selected before you click "apply to selection" no matter what action you have selected. And check again, even if you think you already did that.

And... does ANYONE actually use 'roughen'? What exactly is it trying to do?

I've used roughen. I like adding hills and bumps and the like.

Got only rather small stories, here we go.

I was mentoring and about to give some LM to a newbie. I explained to him not to hit TP now because he would go poof. But when I wanted to drag the LM from my inventory onto him I double clicked it instead and went poof myself. Oops. *G*

Another nice thing happened when I showed the newbie area we built to a group of Italian mentors. The sim is set to group access and I had opened only one parcel to let them in. I was talking to them in voice and somehow forgot about the parcel permissions. Then I showed them the sit teleporter to reach the next station which was on another parcel... All 6 people sat down on the teleporter one right after the other to get teleported right into the banline and bounce up into the sky like cannon balls. *G*

Once I decided to terraform my small home parcel and wanted to rise the sea floor a bit. My parcel is surrounded by land I don't own so I didn't pay attention to that. Suddendly I realised a had dried up a lot of the surrounding land. I had forgotten I am an estate manager for that sim allowing me to terraform the whole sim :O

I'd like to use it to add hills and bumps and things, but I guess I just don't get it... I would have thought it would just ad some randomness to the surface but instead it seems to "twist" the whole selected area.

OK, in a similar mode, before I learned how the estate settings worked, I was raising a hill only a bit above the level of my land - and it changed textures on me. I figured it was me, so (hey, how do you keep an idiot in suspense?) I lowered it and tried again. Maybe six times... (maybe more, but six is all I am going to admit to).
