i work for Linden Lab's PR agency in the UK and i've just heard from the BBC about a programme it is working on.
I've pasted a description below:
On our second show of the new series, on January 4, we are looking to debate the issue of virtual infidelity, asking the question: Can You Commit Adultery Online?
I am looking for an active Second Life user who answers either yes or no to the above question – perhaps somebody who has a relationship in real life but thinks nothing of forming sexual relationships in SL, as it is not ‘real’ cheating; or somebody who did fall in love with someone on SL when they were already in a real-life relationship and admits that an SL affair is cheating.

Paul I honestly don't know you from any other yahoo who might or might not be working for LL. From what I understood most of the PR people have Linden names or if they don't, they have a Linden post FOR them. We have enough people doing surveys about the subject for their "thesis" as it is. If this is the real deal, get a Linden to post about it. And please, please, please... learn to use the shift key. Appearances are important for PR people. More so for those who are using the written word.

Also some of the people on SL are sort of making their own movie so to speak via roleplaying very much like an actor or actress and there is no real genital contact just like with real like actors and actresses making a movie... well most that is.
The BBC might have a better story on cheating in the real life movie world.
*yawns* cuz I could care less what celebrity is marrying whom, divorcing whom, having a baby with whom... *yawns again*
