I checked, but it's hard to tell; deep down inside it's really dark. I did find the turkey sandwich I had for lunch, a giant ball of gum and a penny I lost when I was 7, but no indication that I'm actually female. Until someone proves otherwise by performing a complete autopsy and actually looking deep down inside with some better lighting (I'm in no real rush for this to happen), I'm going to remain male.

Hehe :D

Just a thought, at what stage do people start emptying or reorganising their inventories. ...
Usually when it's too late: when we loose our pies down the rabbit hole, we find prims with "Jimmy Hoffa was here" etched on them in red, when you have no idea what's in most of the folders you have, when you have so many things in the list that the scrollbar handle is too small to select with your mouse.

... Does it go by amount of Inventory items or just that the inventory is a mess and unorganised.

I have about 10,000 items but have always kept it organised and deleted neccessary folder and files when necessary, its only the freeby stuff and things I have collected along the way that I have no idea about, collect so much stuff I got lost in it and just left it there. ...
Yes, all of the above. :D If you can't count that high in a day, then you have too much.

Beware the dreaded Freebie boxes! I found one box that had 125 boxes in it. In one of those was a box with 250 boxes in it, and in one of those was a box with 1000+ items in it. At that point, after I had already spent the better part of a week cleaning my inventory, I said, "This is B.S!", and deleted all of it. If I didn't already have a dozen copies of whatever was in the boxes, then I sure didn't need any more.

... Also, how many items can we have, is there a maximum?
Probably way more than we could ever keep track of. I heard a mentor say she had over 20,000 items in her inventory. There were folders she hadn't looked at in over a year, but she didn't have the time to start cleaning it up.

Hey! If it's gotten that bad, then take all the stuff you use all the time, put it in a folder, then delete everything else. Then sort out the stuff you do use, organize your folders, and try to keep it clean at least weekly if not more often.

( OMG! That all sounds sooo much like my 3rd grade school teacher preaching the way to do things. )

Another way to deal with stuff that you might use EVENTUALLY and just can't bear to get rid of (I've got thousands of L$ of plants and trees), put them into a box and store the box in a safe place on your land. That way you don't have to deal with every damn search coming up with stuff you never use.

That's a great thing to do... If you have land.

There are a lot of people like myself that don't have land.

An alternative for people like myself is to stuff it all in appropriately labeled boxes then create a new folder like "zzz_Box_Archives". It sorts to the end of the list and you know that's where to look for the stuff you rarely use.

I do both. I have some boxes stored on my land with some things I rarely use and I have several folders labeled zzz - "whatever". I'm an event host at a club so when I find a freebie item that I can't use but is of good quality that may work for an event in the future then I can't seem to bring myself to delete it. Never know when I might need it.
