From: 3Ring Binder after researching, FBI is an acronym, which is a form of an abbreviation, this particular form coming in at the initialism level. we are all right. WHEW! it took me a long time and some effort to be 'right' this time. LOLOL FBI definitely isn't an acronym

From: Walker Moore I did come very close to editing a disclaimer into my post. Something to the effect of "please tell me this site isn't written by Wikipedia types." The "free" bit in the URL made me suspicious. I know; it's near impossible to know which sources to trust as reliable on the net, or anywhere in fact. It's especially difficult as often you are searching for the very reason that you don't have that knowledge, and so are not in an ideal position to make a judgement. Poor quality of a site is obviously a good sign, but the website you posted is an example of a site that outwardly looks 'respectable', but which is clearly misleading. I think the only way is to mass search lots of sites and form a general consensus.

It's the same reason that some people type UR in caps. Beats me.

Another Important Question: I have Noticed that Some People on these Forums like to Type in Camel Case, capitalizing Words almost Arbitrarily. This drives Me Crazy, why do These People do it?

Possibilities:
1. SIM is sometimes capitalized by former TSO (the SIMS online) people, as it's common for EA to capitalize the word "sim" in their game titles. Although the meaning of a TSO SIM (an avatar) and SL sim (a single land simulator process) is completely different. 2. most common use for the word sim/SIM is as abbreviation for Subscriber Identity Module (as in SIM card) for mobile phones. It's always capitalized then, but again has nothing to do with SL's meaning for sim (simulator).
On capitalizing the first letter of each word: This is often used element of the 'Gorean' language. Some Gorean Masters also use it, when posting on the forums.

If You Type In All Caps Then The Forum Adjusts It Into This Form Which Is Possibly Worse.
